Confused about how to begin teaching your child phonics at home?🤔
Here’s a flow for you to follow 👇🏻 [You will want to SAVE this post]
When you are teaching your child phonics at home,
having a step-by-step approach helps your child understand each concept in order — without feeling overwhelmed to be fluent in speaking and reading English.
💭Think of it like building a house —
First, you need a strong foundation (letter sounds), and
only then can you move on to blending, segmenting, and finally reading words fluently.
But don’t worry, the structure doesn’t have to be rigid.
It’s more about giving you and your child a guide to follow so that learning feels consistent and enjoyable. 😇
💜And remember, your child’s learning pace is unique, so feel free to adjust based on their needs.

Developing fluent English speaking and reading habits in a kindergartner when your household’s primary language is Hindi becomes a little difficult.
When Trisha came to me at 3 years old, her mother Deepti also faced the same problem.
With her mother’s constant efforts and strategic guidance at Oodles, Trisha is now able to read and speak English quite impressively.
As her teacher, I am so proud of her.😍

Follow these, if you want your child to be confident in life
1. Give them the freedom to fail
Let them know that failure is also a part of life. Please don't make a big deal about the results they achieve.
2. Set achievable goals
You know your child in and out. So, you get goals for them that are achievable.
3. Celebrate EFFORT>RESULT
Let your child know that you are more concerned about the efforts they make than the results they achieve.
4. Refrain from rescuing
As a parent, you must understand that intervening all the time will not help the child in the long run.

"Progress matters and not the size of the progress"
Progress is progress, 📈
✨ be it your son scoring 60% ( 4% more than 1st term) in the second term.
OR
✨ be it you losing 600gms in the entire month
OR
✨ you were calm and patient (2/5 times) when your children created chaos.
It's okay. It takes time to grow and bloom.💫
We all know that Rome wasn't built in a day. Then how can we achieve our goals in a few days or months.
Be patient with your and your children's progress.
Applaud yourself and also them for every little progress and step they take towards their goal.
This year, we want you all to take a pledge that you are going to appreciate all the efforts you and your children take.
Comment "I do" if you too agree with this.

The biggest responsibility of a parent toward their child is
to raise an adult who thinks observes, and forms their own opinion rather than just following the bandwagon blindly.
So how are you raising your child?
Always make reading a priority.

Punctuations are marks used in writing to separate sentences and clauses and help in making the meaning of the sentences more clear.
In the above post, we have discussed full stop, (.) Comma, (,) question mark, (?) exclamation mark, (!) and apostrophe (')
If you find this useful then tell us in the comments. We'd like to make more such parts on punctuations.
