Post Covid Disease In Childrens
MIS-C Alert

One More Child Saved...

A 9 year old girl admiited with high grade fever and rash of 5 days duration.Child was presented with Severe Sepsis with Severe Thrombocytopenia with bleeding with Severe Respiratory distress with Shock with multiorgan dysfunction involving brain,lungs,heart, gastrointestinal system, kindneys (Creatinine- 2.4) and Immune System(WBCs-40,000& Platelet-20,000).
Child was Ventilated and required multiple Inotropic Support.Child had no H/O Covid or Covid contact..Child was Immediately started on IV immunglobulin and IV Steroid due to MIS-C indicating labortory parameters and strong Suspicion.
Her 2D Echo revealed LV dysfunction with dilated coronaries..Her Covid antibodies report came POSITIVE after 24 hrs.Labortary parameters showed drastic improvement after one dose of medications.
Child was off ventilator and off inotropic support with 4-5 days of admission.Child was better, all clinical and labortory parameters were normal within 7 days of admission..
