The team CSSRL at MNLU Nagpur takes utmost pleasure to invite esteemed institutions to the flagship edition of our National Debate Competition, 1st JusManthan Vādah – An Indic Knowledge Systems (IKS) Based Bilingual National Level Debate Competition, 2023 (CSSRL – JMVNDC). With the value statement of JusManthan Vādah , which is Anishiddham Anumatam (That what is unopposed shall be considered as accepted), JusManthan Vādah is known for its intense and qualitative arguments for and against an IKS Based motion which has immense bearing on the modern society.

JusManthan Vādah is known for uniquely adopting Indic styles of debating. This year theme of the competition revolves around the growing confluence of Sanskrit and the present-day realities of the modern era, which was chosen with an intention to stimulate discussion about the revival and regaining the past glory of the ancient language, “Sanskrit”, that holds immense historical, philosophical and intrinsic literary value. The debate competition shall be held in two consecutive phases: July 14-15, 2023 and August 04-05, 2023 in hybrid mode as part of the ‘Sanskrit Week Celebration’ by the centre itself. This week aims to celebrate the rich heritage and cultural significance of Sanskrit. The event will feature a series of other IKS Based activities and programmes designed to promote awareness and understanding of Sanskrit. By organizing a dedicated week to celebrate Sanskrit, the Centre hopes to foster a sense of pride and appreciation for this ancient language among students, scholars, and the general public.

CSSRL is now extending the dates of the first Intra-University Debate Competition JusManthan Vādah .It shall be conducted under the guidance of Honorable Vice-Chancellor Sir and Ila Deshpande Ma'am.
The last date of registration is 10 November 2022.
The date of event is now 15 November 2022.

Motion: "Media playing a constructive role in fostering Shastric Ideas"

▪ The Competition will be conducted in both Hindi and English.
▪ Entries will only be accepted in teams.
▪ Cross-questioning is allowed
▪ All the participants will be awarded with a certificate
▪ Debaters shall be asked to wear ethnic dress on the competition day.
