We believe that students should participate in activities that will promote their all-around development and enhance their sense of personal well-being. Therefore, programmes of cultural activities, appreciation of fine arts, sports and community service are mandatory for all students in EGSPJ. Every day, afternoon hours at the school shall be devoted to these activities. All students, boarders an

d day scholars have to participate in such activities. Of course, counselling and professional guidance shall be offered to children and their parents regarding the choice of programmes. Sports and Games:

Participation in sports and games forms an integral part of the EGSPJ curriculum.EGSPJ believes that organized sports activities teach the students the importance of social behaviour. Afternoon sports activity is mandatory for all students. The school encourages all students to choose at least one of the available sports and games and practice it regularly so that they will develop skills that are necessary to play at a competitive level. The playfields are extensive and include fields for Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Tennis, Table Tennis and athletics. Cultural Activities:

The school is committed to providing everyday exposure to cultural activities. Academic related activities like debate and public speaking, participation in music, dance, drama, painting and photography are highly encouraged. Activities currently on offer are Drama, Music- Indian and Western, Vocal & Instrumental, Art & Design, Dance- Indian & Western and Yoga, karate and silambam. Life skill training:

Under life skill training, children learn life-oriented activities like changing a tyre, fixing a bulb, sewing a button or cooking a tasty dish.
