An Art Competition was organized by Maruti Suzuki RD Motors Arena, Kaliabor on 13th June, 2026. Students from our school participated enthusiastically and brought pride to the institution through their outstanding artistic talents.

• Hitakrit Bhuyan (Class IX) secured the First Position
• Mugdha Hazarika (Class VI) secured the Second Position
In the A Category
• Bornil Bivas Borah (Class V) secured the Third Position
The achievements of these young artists were recognized and celebrated during the school assembly where they were felicitated with trophies and certificates for their remarkable performance. The school congratulates the prize winners and encourages all students to continue nurturing their creativity and artistic skills.

On the solemn observance of the Death Anniversary of our beloved Lokabandhu Pona Baruah and Bimala Baruah, a heartfelt remembrance programme was held on 10th June, 2026. The event was organized to pay tribute to these remarkable individuals who were the guiding lights and strong pillars upon which this prestigious institution was built.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the offering of floral tributes. Our respected Principal Sir delivered an emotional and inspiring speech, fondly recalling the values, vision and sacrifices of these great souls whose contributions continue to inspire generations.
As part of Bimala Academy’s exclusive scholarship programme for students who continue their higher secondary education in the institution after successfully completing Class X, scholarships are awarded based on their Board Examination results. Students of the Academic Session 2024–2025, Kangkon Jyoti Bora and Fariha Haque who secured above 90% in the Class X Board Examination were awarded a scholarship equivalent to 60% of their admission fees. Similarly, Shrijan Newar and Akhil Chandra Samadder who scored above 85% received a scholarship equivalent to 40% of their admission fees. The scholarship amounts were presented in the form of cheques by our respected Director Ma’am and Managing Trustee Sir recognizing and celebrating their remarkable academic achievements.
The programme concluded with the school song creating an atmosphere of respect, gratitude and remembrance.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Kaliabor Branch Science Society organized various competitions at Barbhagia Higher Secondary School on 5th June, 2026 to promote environmental awareness and creativity among students.
The school takes immense pride in the achievements of its students who secured prizes in different categories:
• Titikhya Boruah (Class IX) – 2nd Prize in Essay Writing Competition
• Utsav Baruah (Class IX) – 2nd Prize in Chart Making Competition
• Khushi Devi (Class VIII) – 3rd Prize in Slogan Writing Competition
• Dikhita Borah (Class VIII) – 5th Prize in Slogan Writing Competition
The winners were awarded certificates and books as tokens of appreciation and encouragement for their outstanding performances. To recognize and celebrate their achievements, the students were felicitated during the school assembly amidst loud applause from teachers and fellow students.
The school congratulates the awardees for bringing laurels to the institution and wishes them continued success in their future endeavors.

On 6th June, 2026, a House Board Competition was organized in the school on the thought-provoking theme “Mental Health Matters: The Invisible Battle Everyone Faces.” The competition aimed to create awareness about mental health, encourage empathy, and promote the importance of emotional well-being among students.
All the houses participated enthusiastically, transforming their house boards into informative and visually captivating displays. Through creative artwork, inspirational messages, informative articles, statistics, and powerful illustrations, the students highlighted various aspects of the topic. The judges appreciated the originality, presentation, relevance of content, and the impactful messages showcased by the participants.

Model United Nations (MUN) Conference was held at DPS Numaligarh from 31st May to 2nd June, 2026 where a total of 31 students from Classes IX, X and XII represented the school. The event provided them with an excellent platform to develop their skills in public speaking, diplomacy, negotiation, research and critical thinking while engaging in discussions on national and international issues.
Six students were felicitated during the school assembly for their outstanding achievements and commendable performance in the MUN.
The following students received awards and recognitions at the conference:
Darsh*ta Saikia (Class X) – 2nd High Commendation in the Assam Vidhan Sabha Committee.
Suhel Qurechi (Class XII) – Special Commendation in the Assam Vidhan Sabha Committee.
Debaleena Nath (Class XII) – Special Commendation as Speaker in the Assam Vidhan Sabha Committee.
Nisthamoni Saikia (Class X) – Special Commendation in the United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC).
Utsav Baruah (Class IX) – Special Mention for IPC Caricature.
Khanjan Jyoti Deka (Class X) – Special Mention in the UNHRC Committee.
During the assembly, the awardees were felicitated with applause and appreciation. Tanushree Saha (Class XII), one of the participants, shared her experiences and highlighted the valuable lessons learned through MUN.
A special note of gratitude was extended to Mr. Gautam Mazumder, Mr. Niaz Rahman, and Ms. Sangita Sahu for escorting the students and providing constant guidance and support throughout the conference.

Our school observed World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to environmental awareness during the morning assembly on 5th June 2026. The programme commenced with an inspiring address delivered by our respected Principal Sir. An Environmental Pledge was then administered by our student where everyone solemnly pledged to protect and conserve nature. A speech by our student further enlightened the gathering on the significance of World Environment Day.
As a symbolic gesture of environmental responsibility, a Sapling Plantation Ceremony was conducted by our respected Principal Sir and Director Ma’am along with the members of the Student Council.
The World Environment Day celebration was further enriched by the presence of members of Bir Lachit Sena, Kaliabor, who generously donated saplings to the school and actively participated in the plantation programme promoting the message of environmental conservation and sustainable living.

On 23rd May, 2026 a wonderful Capacity Building Programme under the aegis of CBSE CoE Guwahati was organised on the topic "SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING" at our school by resource person Mrs. Manjuri Bharali Saikia, Faculty, Delhi Public School, Guwahati, Assam. The session was wonderful and informative where all the participants actively learned about the significance and utmost benefit inculcated from the topic.

The school proudly announced the excellent performance of our first batch of Class XII students from Humanities and Science Stream in the CBSE Senior School Certificate Examination, 2026.
To celebrate this remarkable achievement, a felicitation ceremony was organized in the school premises to honour the successful students. The meritorious students were felicitated with phulam gamusa and words of appreciation.
The school also expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for their unwavering commitment, guidance and sincere efforts throughout the academic session. Their contribution has been instrumental in achieving such commendable results.

On 15th May 2026, the Friendship Club organised an Inter-School Competition where students from various schools participated enthusiastically in different events. The programme witnessed remarkable talent, healthy competition and active participation from all the schools.
We are proud to share that Bimala Academy emerged as the 2nd Best School in the competition. The students brought laurels to the institution by securing prizes in several events.
In the Quiz Competition, the team comprising Kabyajyoti Saikia (Class XI), Deb Bharali (Class XI) and Madhurjya Saikia (Class XI) secured the 1st Prize. Astha Hazarika of Class X won the 1st Prize in the Dance Competition. Dikhu Saikia of Class IX secured the 2nd Prize in the Bhupendra Sangeet Competition, while Dikhita Borah of Class VIII achieved the 3rd Prize in the Essay Writing Competition.
The school was awarded a cash prize of ₹7000 along with trophies and certificates. The achievement filled the school with pride and encouraged the students to continue striving for excellence in both academic and co-curricular activities.
