Celebration of Shakespeare’s Day in the department

Farewell of 4th semester students.

The department celebrated World Poetry Day on 21st March, 2025.

A lecture programme on "Translation and Localization of Language " was held by Department of English on 6th March,2025. We had amongst us Mr. Biswadip Gogoi, working as a Juniour Resource Person in National Translation Mission(NTM) Mysuru as our resource person.

A street play was performed by the students of third semester of English department to stop violence against women on 30th August,2024.

Rimjim Boruah, faculty of the Department of English has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy by Department of English, Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya. She carried out her research under the supervision of Dr. Madhulina Choudhury,Assistant Professo r , Department of English of Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya.

Students of the department of English,MSSV,Nagaon observed the Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti in the university auditorium. It was a colourful programme of dance performances,recitation,rendition of songs and speeches.It was an earnest tribute to Kabiguru by the department.

Celebration of birth anniversary of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika by the Department of English, MSSV, Nagaon.

Deepanjali Baruah, Assistant Professor, Department of English, J.B. College, Jorhat have been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy by the Department of English, MSSV, Nagaon. She had done her research under the supervision of Prof. Nityananda Pattanayak. Heartiest congratulations to madam on her big day.

Prof. B. C. Dash from Assam University, Diphu Campus delivered a talk on 'Postcolonial Discourse' at the department of English, MSSV,Nagaon.
