On 17.03.2023, NSS unit of BGS First Grade College, ACU had organised a Blood Donation Camp in the college premises. Dr. C K Subbaraya, Registrar, ACU was the chief guest for the event. The event started at 10 a.m.
As many as sixty students and faculty members of our institution donated the blood. Refreshments were offered to those who donated blood in the camp. Students and faculty members who had participated in this blood donation camp were given certificates.
The blood collected from this camp was handover to the Adichunchanagiri Hospital and Research Centre (AHRC). A team of two doctors and ten nurses from AHRC were incharge of the entire process of the camp.
After completion of the camp, the principal Prof. N Ramu thanked all the donors and appreciated them for donating blood.

Dr. T Mahadevaiah, HoD, Civil Dept. BGSIT, Dr. Prashant Kaalappa, Dean, Natural Sciences, Faculty members and Students of BGS FGC participated in the camp.

The NSS Cell of Adichunchanagiri University had organised National Integration Camp in association with State NSS Cell and Regional Directorate of NSS, GoI from 29.12.2022 to 04.0.2023. His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, the hon'ble chancellor of ACU inaugurated the program on 29.12.2023 at BGS Auditorium. Dr. M A Shekar, Vice Chancellor, Dr. S Chandrashekhar Shetty, former Vice Chancellor, T S Chakravarthy from TCS, Dr. C K Subbaraya, Registrar, Prof. N Ramu, NSS Programme Coordinator and all the principals of constituent units of the university participated the program.

As many as 160 volunteers from 12 States across India participated in the camp. The motto of NSS is “Not Me, But You”. The prime aim of the camp was to offer firsthand experience to the volunteers for harmonious living and cultural exchange.

BGS First Grade College, ACU, BG Nagara had organized an orientation programme for the newly admitted B Com students at BGSIT Seminar Hall on 26 August 2022. The major objective of the programme was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the Institute and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students.

The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest Dr. K Ananthramu, Retired professor of Kannada, University of Mysore.

Adichunchanagiri University

We are happy to share that State NSS, Government of Karnataka has sanctioned a grant of Rs. 5 lakhs ( Rupees five lakhs only ) to Adichunchanagiri University to organise a 7 days National Integration Camp during 2022-23. As many as 150 NSS Volunteers from 10 states across India will be participating in the camp.

National Service Scheme

NSS volunteers of Adichunchanagiri University participated in National Service Scheme programs at Brahmadevarahally Gram Panchayat limits.

The program was launched by Mr. Sudhakar, Circle Inspector, Nagamangala.

Dr M G Shivaramu, Principal of AIMS, Dr Chandrashekar, Principal of ACN, Dr Monisha, Medical Officer, Bramhadevarahally PHC, NSS officers Dr. Sheethal, Mr. Hemaraj, Dr. Kantharaj, NSS volunteers participated in the program.
