World Blood Donor Day 2026 was observed at BGS Institute of Nursing Sciences, Sasyakashi Campus, by the Adult Health Nursing Department in collaboration with the Youth Red Cross Society under the theme “One Drop of Humanity – Give Blood, Save Lives.” The programme aimed to create awareness about voluntary blood donation and the importance of safe blood transfusion. Students, faculty members, healthcare professionals, and voluntary donors actively participated in the blood donation camp. Donors underwent health screening and counseling to ensure safety and eligibility. The event highlighted the role of blood donation in saving lives during emergencies and medical treatments. It encouraged regular blood donation, social responsibility, and humanitarian values among participants. The camp successfully contributed to maintaining an adequate blood supply for healthcare services. It also enhanced knowledge regarding donor eligibility and blood donation procedures. The programme strengthened community participation and collaboration with health organizations. The activity supported SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
