പാര്‍ക്കിലെ മരത്തില്‍ തന്നെയായിരുന്നു ആ മുങ്ങയുടെ വാസം. എല്ലാ ദിവസവും
മൂങ്ങ ഓരോ കാഴ്ചകള്‍ കാണാന്‍ തുടങ്ങി.

ഇന്നലെ ഒരു ആണ്‍കുട്ടി പ്രായമായ ഒരാളെ
ഇഷ്ടിക എടുക്കാന്‍ സഹായിക്കുന്ന കാഴ്ചയായിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍ ഇന്ന് ഒരു പെണ്‍കുട്ടി
അവളുടെ അമ്മയെ ശകാരിക്കുന്ന കാഴ്ചയായിരുന്നു.

കാഴ്ചകള്‍ കൂടിക്കൊണ്ടേയിരുന്നു.
കാഴ്ചകള്‍ കൂടുന്നതിനനസരിച്ച് മൂങ്ങ കൂടുതല്‍ നിശ്ശബ്ദനായിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

വേലിചാടിക്കടന്ന ആനയെക്കുറിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞ ഒരു വൃദ്ധയെയും ഒരിക്കലും ഒരു പിഴവു
പോലും വരുത്തിയിട്ടില്ലെന്നു പറഞ്ഞ ആളെയുമെല്ലാം നിത്യേനയെന്നോണം മൂങ്ങ
കാണാനും കേള്‍ക്കാനും തുടങ്ങി.

പ്രായമായ മൂങ്ങ ആളുകള്‍ക്കെന്തു സംഭവിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് കൂടുതല്‍ കേള്‍ക്കുകയും
കാണുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ചില ആളുകള്‍ ചീത്തയായിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതും ചിലര്‍
നല്ലവരായിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നത് മൂങ്ങ അറിഞ്ഞു.

മൂങ്ങ കൂടുതല്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ നിശ്ശബ്ദനായി,
മൂങ്ങ കൂടുതല്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ കാണുകയും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

മൂങ്ങ കൂടുതല്‍ ബുദ്ധിമാനുമായിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
