Dear devotees, disciples, and well-wishers of H. H. Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja,

Please accept our humble obeisances.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Guru Mahārāja continues to show gradual improvement in his overall sensorium and level of alertness. The medical team is encouraged by the progress he has been making and remains hopeful about his continued recovery. At the same time, we would like to emphasize that the journey toward a meaningful and sustained recovery remains a long one, and maintaining this positive trajectory without setbacks is extremely important.

The doctors have indicated that, if Guru Mahārāja is able to maintain this level of improvement over the coming weeks without any significant setbacks, they are hopeful that within the next few weeks to a month he may make further significant progress toward being completely weaned from ventilatory support and, subsequently, having the tracheostomy removed. These are encouraging possibilities, but they will depend on his continued clinical stability and gradual progress.

Guru Mahārāja has remained clinically stable and free from any significant signs of infection for almost three weeks. The medical team is gradually increasing the duration of his breaks from ventilatory support, allowing him progressively longer periods of independent breathing as tolerated. He continues to require dialysis on alternate days, which he has been tolerating well for the past several weeks. His vital signs have remained stable, and the wounds affecting his legs and toes are also showing signs of healing.

As there is still a long journey ahead, we humbly request devotees to include the entire medical team and the caretakers in their prayers. Please pray that we may all be able to perform our humble roles properly as instruments in the hands of Lord Kṛṣṇa, with strength, clarity, patience, and dedication.

Above all, we remain deeply conscious that, beyond all the medical care and efforts being made on the ground, the sincere prayers of devotees around the world are playing an invaluable role in supporting Guru Mahārāja through this difficult journey. We therefore humbly request everyone to continue their prayers with the same intensity, faith, and consistency.

Transcription of Message from HH Bhakti Purusottama Swami regarding Guru Mahārāja:

Hare Krsna! So I am here at Bengaluru. Guru Mahārāja came here to get treatment in Apollo Hospital, where he is getting very good treatment. But in spite of the treatment, his health condition is not improving much. We have come to know that the 12th of this month, August, there is a solar eclipse. Solar eclipse gives a bad impact, inflames on this earthly planet. To save Guru Mahārāja from that bad influence, we request all devotees around the world - all disciples and grand disciples of Guru Mahārāja and all his well-wishers , as soon as you get this message, please start chanting extra rounds, continue nama sankirtana, offering puja to the Lord, circumambulating Tulasi doing parikrama four times, and give all the results to Guru Mahārāja. As a result, he will be protected from the bad influence of this solar eclipse.

Apart from that the fear that up to 24th of this month of August, if Guru Mahārāja remains stable up to 24th of this month, then beyond that he will recuperate and revive very quickly.

So our humble request to all of you, please, please pray, increase your sadhana, increase your chanting and prayers and offer to Guru Mahārāja and continue this up to 25th of August, so that Guru Mahārāja can recuperate nicely and he will be with us to guide us and make us more fortunate.

Dallas, USA – July 9th, 2026, 01:03 PM CDT

Dear devotees, disciples, and well-wishers of HH Jayapatāka Swami Mahārāja,

Please accept our humble obeisances.

By the mercy of Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava and the prayers of devotees around the world, arrangements have now been made for Guru Mahārāja to travel to Bangalore, India, for the next phase of his treatment and rehabilitation. This plan has been carefully coordinated over the past several days in consultation with the ICU team, Guru Mahārāja's personal and devotee doctors, and the specialized air ambulance team.

At present, Guru Mahārāja remains in the hospital in Dallas, where the medical team is completing all necessary evaluations and treatments to prepare him safely for the journey.

We would like to clarify that this is not an emergency transfer. Rather, it has been planned because Guru Mahārāja's condition is stable enough for transport and because it has been agreed that continuing his care in India is the most appropriate next step. During the flight, Guru Mahārāja will be under the continuous care of an experienced intensive care physician and a flight paramedic specially trained in critical care air transport. He will also be accompanied by his personal doctor, another devotee doctor, and a few members of his core team.

The current plan is for Guru Mahārāja to depart from Dallas on Thursday, July 9th, evening at approximately 8:00 p.m. (CDT) and, by Kṛṣṇa's mercy, arrive in Bangalore on Saturday, July 11th early morning (IST). Upon arrival, he will be transferred directly by ambulance from the aircraft to the hospital, where he will continue receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit.

We humbly request all devotees to kindly refrain from coming to the hospital or gathering outside either the hospital or the airport. Guru Mahārāja will remain in the ICU, where strict medical protocols and security measures will be in place to ensure the safest possible environment for his continued care.

We will send regular updates as the journey continues.

At this important stage, the greatest service all devotees can offer is their sincere prayers. We humbly request everyone to pray to Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava and Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva for Guru Mahārāja's protection throughout the journey, for a smooth and uneventful transfer, and for his continued recovery as he begins the next phase of his treatment in India.

CAN I CHANT LESS ROUNDS?

I have been told by Marici das how Krsna’s flute is so wonderful! The gopis ear holes are filled with the sound of Krsna’s flute. And that Krsna’s flute is represented by the Hare Krsna maha-mantra. So, sometimes disciples ask me, can I chant less rounds? I mean, do you want to be more accessible to Kali-yuga’s influence? I chant one round while taking a bath! I chant more than 16 rounds. But when I cannot, like when I had the stroke my right side had paresis, similar to paralysis and I could not chant. So I count with my counter, 1728, minimum. I chant all the time!

By the mercy of Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava and the sincere prayers of devotees around the world, Guru Mahārāja is showing some signs of improvement today. He is more alert, energized, and engaged. He remains conscious, communicative, and in good spirits.

Over the past three days, Guru Mahārāja’s lungs have faced repeated challenges, with recurring secretions causing blockages despite medical procedures to clear them. This morning, however, there are encouraging signs that the affected lung is gradually opening up and responding to treatment. As a result, his overall condition and other vital parameters have become more stable.

Guru Mahārāja remains in the ICU, but the medical team feels he is cautiously moving in the right direction and recommends continuing the present course of treatment. The coming days remain important as doctors closely monitor his response and continue supporting his recovery.

We kindly request devotees not to circulate unofficial information. The JPS Health Team will continue providing daily updates, and we kindly ask devotees to wait for these updates. We also request that devotees refrain from calling or coming to the hospital.

We are deeply grateful for the heartfelt prayers and well wishes offered by devotees worldwide. Please continue praying for Guru Mahārāja’s protection, strength, comfort, and recovery during these crucial days.

Please accept my humble obeisances. An unexpected situation that we are hearing about Guru Maharaja’s critical health condition from Dallas. He is not stable and it is very crucial time. We have to seriously start prayers, every disciple should send their prayers for Guru Maharaja. If you are in any temple, please request and organise 24-hrs Kirtana, Yajnas, arcanas, etc. Now, we need prayers like war situation. Only prayers can help in this situation.

WE ARE GOING TO CHOP OFF THE HEADS OF THESE VAISNAVAS!

Mother Jahnava, after she left and was going to Vrindavan, she went into one town where all the people were Kali worshippers, Chandi. And they saw that devotees were being respected. They became very envious “Why are they bowing down to Jahnava, why they are bowing down to these Vaishnavas, these villagers? They are rascals, why are they not bowing down to Chandi, Mother Maya? They are not making any goat offering or drinking any w**e.

They are all offensive.” So they went to Chandi and said, “We are going to chop off the heads of these Vaishnavas, they are so offensive to you, they don’t offer you any goat or w**e or anything and they are offensive. We are going to finish them off tonight. Chop off their heads. We will wake up in the middle of the night and do this work for your pleasure.”

Of course, Chandi Maya is the greatest devotee. She tolerates these demons. But when they want to offend the Vaishnavas she cannot tolerate. So she appeared in their dreams as soon as they went to sleep. Her eyes were flaming red and her hair was scattered and she was accompanied by her she-demons. She had her huge chopper in her hand and she told them, “I’m going to chop off your heads! You don’t know who is Jahnava. She is my worshippable Deity.

She is the Antaranga-shakti. These are all Vaishnavas. They are pure devotees of Krishna, my eternal master. You are going to chop their heads off? If you do not beg them for forgiveness for your offence, I’m going to chop off your heads.” They woke up shaking, ‘Aaaaaahhh! Aaaaahhhh!” They were very afraid of Chandi. They ran to the Vaishnavas and fell down at their feet, “Please, please, we did not know who you are. Please forgive us. Mother Chandi has told us, now we know who you are. Please, please instruct us what is devotion, who you are, what we are to do?

We have committed so many offences.” So of course Jahnava being an ocean of mercy, blessed them with ecstatic love for Nitai-Gauranga. And they became devotees. They stayed there for a few days. Jahnava and other devotees were going to Vrindavan. They turned the whole village into pure devotees, there were demons there before. They turned them into pure devotees.

Of course when Jahnava went to Vrindavan, then all the Vaishnavas in Mathura, first they met her and then took her to Vrindavan. Then Jiva Gosvami and all the Vaishnavas came out and she was introduced to Krishnadas Kaviraja, Gopal Bhatta Gosvami, Jiva Gosvami, Lokanath Gosvami, Bhugarbha Gosvami, and so on.

She was introduced to all the Vaishnavas and Raghunath Das and Sanatan in Radha K***a. Then she was wandering around and she saw Balaram’s Rasa-lila. She fell unconscious. She went to Radha-K***a and offered her respects. She was offered respects by Raghunath Das Gosvami and others who were filled with separation and were worshipping in Radha K***a. Then finally she was ordered by Gopinatha to get a proper Radharani murti for Him. There was a proper size and everything. And so then she went back to Gaudadesh to get a Radharani Deity for Gopinatha in Vrindavana.

Like this even the demons are delivered by mercy. Maya doesn’t want people to stay always. That’s why she kicks them. She is like the cool hand to remind us that we should just take shelter of Krishna. So even Maha-maya Chandi had her demon devotees take shelter of the devotees of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. So we should take shelter. We should not allow our mind, which has got that aroma of sense gratification.

Question: Personally as a mataji, I always keep thinking not to genderize this but generally prabhus get to do everything and matajis, we are like – can you give us some motivation and I also wonder how to serve my guru and Krsna? Could you please give some advice.

HH Jayapataka Swami: So that should be addressed. At least we want to provide alternatives to everybody to serve Krsna. And like Lord Caitanya said, yare dekho tare koho Krsna upadesa. That is not limited to males! It is anyone! And whoever you meet tell them about chanting Hare Krsna, tell them about the message of Lord Krsna! Some of our Malaysian girls are distributing lots of books, right?! But I don’t know, the males have more service opportunities than the females? But we should look into that, do you have any suggestions for the different services you can do? Then we can consider that. I am a sannyasi, so I cannot take any physical service from the ladies, but otherwise every service is allowed.
