raduate degree course (2years/Four semester) is conducted by the Karnataka State Open University is unique of its kind in India that bridges the gap between "World of Knowledge and World of Work". Under the course of M.Sc. Environmental Science & Technology, one studies everything about the environment. This includes the components that make up the environment. Apart from that the course also includes the study of the technological means by which the environment can be stopped from getting affected or harmed. The course also includes study of the various sciences that are applicable in the environment. Every minute change in the environment is to be studied along with its affect on the living world. (Tech.) in Environmental Science and Technology provides job opportunities in industries, ministries, judiciary, research organizations, universities, colleges, multinational companies, administration and NGOs, etc. Present course is designed to meet the national and international requirements of environmental monitoring, management, environmental impact assessment, ISO certification, environmental legislation, hazards, risk management, air/water/soil pollution management, nano-science application, biodiversity conservation, natural resource management, energy resource conservation, recycling of waste materials, social issues of the environment, environmental protection and policies for sustainable development of the society.
