JSS College of Physiotherapy celebrated Graduation Day on
Monday, July 14, 2025.
This occasion marked a significant milestone in the academic journey of the graduating students.
57 undergraduate and 29 postgraduate students were awarded
degrees, celebrating their academic accomplishments and readiness to
contribute to the field of Physiotherapy.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Mohammed Asheel, National Professional Officer
(Injuries, Disabilities, Assistive Technology & Rehabilitation) at WHO India,
delivered an inspiring Graduation Day Address. He emphasized the evolving
role of physiotherapy in global healthcare, highlighting a shift from focusing on
disability to enhancing functionality. Dr. Asheel stressed the importance of
physiotherapy in improving quality of life and noted WHO’s strategic priorities
in addressing functional disabilities through acute care and prevention.
He pointed out the increasing global demand for physiotherapists, especially
in managing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), and emphasized that the
world needs more physiotherapists than ever before.
