We are pleased to inform you that The National Institution of Engineering [NIE] Mysuru, in Association with FH Dortmund, University, Germany is organizing an International Conference On Sustainable Technology [https://icstnie2025.com/home] [In Hybrid Mode] on 19th & 20th February 2025 at NIE, Mysuru. This conference is Technically Co-Sponsored by Institution of Engineers India Mysuru section, India.

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. K. R. Prakash (Professor and Head), along with Former Professors Dr. N. V. Raghavendra and Dr. M. V. Achutha, have been granted a patent for their innovative system and method for cooking using a programmable cooking device.

Our team clinched the AIR 1 position in the Dronelog - Inventory Management competition organized by Godrej and Boyce. This challenge tasked us with programming drones to navigate specific paths, scan QR codes, and transmit coordinates via IPS and Wi-Fi. In the initial round, where 45 teams presented detailed abstracts outlining their designs, plans, and budgets, we successfully advanced, securing a spot among the top 8 teams selected by Godrej. During the final round, we executed precise scans, seamlessly transmitted data through a designated website, and delivered a compelling business pitch for the usage of the product in the inventory market , ultimately securing us the first place in this nationwide competition.

we also our participated in the aeromodeling competition organised by boeing , securing the top 7 position among 100+ teams nationwide. We achieved this by presenting our meticulously designed and technically crafted stable aeromodeled RC plane, demonstrating our team's innovation and skill in the field.

We are delighted to announce that our professors have been acknowledged in the AD Scientific Index - World Scientists Rankings - 2024. Among the esteemed individuals listed from NIE, Mysuru, I would like to highlight those from the Mechanical Department: Dr. Suresha B, Dr. Sachin B, and former professors Dr. L Krishnamurthy, Dr. Chandra Sekhar, Dr. N V Raghavendra, and Dr. Siddharth Joshi. Their exceptional contributions to research have been duly acknowledged. Furthermore, these rankings extend across Institution, India, Asia, and global standings, offering a comprehensive assessment.

Bidding farewell to Dr. Suresha B, Professor, after dedicating over three decades of service to NIE.

We are pleased to announce the successful granting of a design patent to Dr. T Raghavendra, Assistant Professor, and their team for "Innovative Double Shoulder Friction Stir Welding Tool". This recognition highlights their innovative contributions to the field of welding technology. This tool could potentially bring significant advancements to welding processes, improving efficiency and quality in various industries.

We are delighted to share that Dr. K R Prakash (Professor & Head) and his team have been granted a copyright by the Government of India for their groundbreaking invention: "Precision Surgery Applications Utilizing Robots: Identifying Brachial Plexus Nerve Region via CNN Model and Image Processing Techniques."

Shamsundar Subbarao, Participating as Resource person /Speaker in the IGSTC ( Indo German Science & Technology ) supported workshop on “Future Energy Carriers: Advancing Bio-circular Economy for Clean Energy (FACEnergy)” is being held at PTB Braunswieg , Germany . Representing NIE-CREST, ( Centre For Renewable Energy & Sustainable Technologies ), The National Institute of Engineering, Mysuru, India.
Presented on topic : Clean fuel based Micro-Grid , BIO-CNG ,Carbon capture systems for meeting Energy needs using Bio waste to achieve Net zero.
Excellent deliberations between Indian and German scientists / Technologists on technologies for circular economy and clean energy.
