Greetings from Samruddhi, Foundation, Mysuru. In its ten-year journey, Samruddhi has been working for creating a knowledge base in social science disciplines, in Kannada, which is the medium of teaching-learning and research in many institutions, by organizing workshops & producing audio-visual material, and publication of monographs/books . The latest addition to our endeavours is a DVD titled " Gender Studies|:Basic Concepts & Practices", which contains 19 lectures delivered by Senior Sociologist Prof. R. Indira who through her writings and lectures has
been working for enriching the resource base in Kannada language. These lectures discuss many of the issues raised in the
curriculum of Gender Studies courses in Sociology & other disciplines. These Include key concepts in gender studies, the operation of patriarchy in different institutions such as family, economy, polity, media, women & development, women's movement and women & development, among others.

Inauguration of Five day Workshop on Techniques & Skills Involved in Addressing Issues of Gender in Teaching & Research
12th May 2016 to 16th May 2016

Samruddhi Foundation, Mysuru in collaboration with the Karnataka State Women’s Commission and feminist quarterly journal ‘Achala’ is organizing a 5 day Workshop on ‘Techniques and skills involved in addressing issues of gender in teaching and research’ which will be held from May 12 to 16, 2016 (both days inclusive) at Mysuru. The workshop, which features lectures, panel discussions and interactive meets, will be held between 10 AM and 5 PM on all the days. We invite you and your colleagues interested in gender studies and issues to participate in the workshop. The registration fee for participating in this workshop is Rupees 1000.
