Mission Schools serves as Christmas Stars offering new hopes and direction through Holistic Education - Rev. Gurushantha P., Vice - President, CSI Karnataka Southern Diocese at the ocassion of Pauline Fiesta 2025.
The Pauline Fiesta 2025, marking the 28th Annual Day and Christmas Celebrations of St. Paul’s Mission High School, C.S.I. Mysore Mission a premier institution of the C.S.I. Madhya Kerala Diocese , was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence on 20 December 2025 at the school campus. The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of nearly 1,200 parents, friends, and well-wishers, transforming the occasion into a festival-like celebration for the entire Hampapura village.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Rev. Gurushantha P., Vice President of the C.S.I. Karnataka Southern Diocese, who delivered a deeply reflective inaugural address. Drawing a powerful Christmas metaphor, he described mission schools as “Christmas stars for children from surrounding villages—offering fresh hope and direction through value-oriented, holistic education, much like the star that guided the wise men to the manger.” His words resonated strongly with the gathering, highlighting the transformative role of mission education.
The celebration was further enriched by the felicitations of Rev. Mathunni Joseph, former Treasurer of the C.S.I. Cochin Diocese, who emphasised that mission schools uphold the dignity and intrinsic worth of every individual, transcending barriers of religion, caste, and creed. He affirmed that such institutions stand as living testimonies to inclusive and humane education.Adding academic depth to the occasion, Prof. David Abraham, Professor Emeritus of CMS College under the C.S.I. Madhya Kerala Diocese, congratulated the school on its steady growth over the years. He observed that education at St. Paul’s Mission High School extends beyond textbooks and classrooms, being deeply rooted in the enduring values of Christ that shape character and conscience.
