A book-crazy young mum on a sabbatical from work had time on her hands, a dream to try something different and the most exciting picture story books ever tumbling out of her closets. Little known to anyone, a magical transformation was about to happen. Fast forward a few weeks and super-energetic kids from the neighbourhood were spending hours in her home, rapt in stories or
turning endless picture book pages with wonder. The leap in their vocabulary and imagination was astounding. Mothers clamoured for a structured program... and the idea for a unique educational start-up was born…
Little Readers' Nook, offering 3 year-long programs - BOOKS MADE FUN for ages 2-3, READ-ISCOVER for ages 3-7 and WORDS AND BEYOND for ages 7-10. Each program is conducted through a one-hour weekly session and focuses on developing a love for books, language skills (communication, comprehension, vocabulary), thinking skills and socio-emotional skills in children. Group sizes are small, typically 6-10 children. Hallmarks:
