The PG Department of Commerce organized a special lecture on “IPR in the Age of the Digital Era” for M.Com students. Mr. Chethan E, Assistant Professor at Sarada Vilas Law College, served as the resource person and delivered an insightful session. He explained all the key concepts clearly in an engaging and informative manner.

ಮೈಸೂರು: ನಗರದ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಎಂಐಟಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ದರ್ಜೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ 2025-26 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ಕಾಲೇಜು ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 17 ರಂದು ನಗರದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕಲಾಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಜರುಗಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಕೆ. ಷಣ್ಮುಗ ವರ್ಮ, ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇನ್ಸ್ ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ವಿಜೇತರು ಇವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಸಮಾಜದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾನೂನು ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಸಂವಾದ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಇವರ ಜೊತೆಯಾಗಿ MET ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ. ನರೇಶ್ ಕುಮಾರ್. ಬಿ. ಜಿ, ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಮತ್ತು ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ.ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ. ವೈ.ಟಿ. ಕೃಷ್ಣೇಗೌಡ, ಸಹ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ. ಹೆಚ್.ಕೆ. ಚೇತನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಎಂಐಟಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ದರ್ಜೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಅರವಿಂದ.ಜಿ ಅವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವ ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭವು 11 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿತು. ತದನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನೆರವೇರಿತು.

“The PG Department of Commerce organized an ‘Idea Bazar’ competition for M.Com students on 6th April 2026 at Lecture Hall 2 (LH-2). A good number of students actively participated in the event and presented their innovative ideas. The competition was judged by Assistant Professor Sachine, and the event was coordinated by Assistant Professor Madhu M. The winners of the competition will be honored with prizes and certificates during the College Annual Day.”

The Department of Commerce and Management organized an industrial visit to Masco Tea Estate at Vagamon on 25.03.2026. Around 50 students visited the factory as part of this educational trip. The visit provided students with practical exposure to the tea manufacturing process, including plucking, processing, grading, and packaging of tea.

The officials at the estate explained the various stages of production and shared valuable insights into quality control and business operations. The visit helped students understand real-world industrial practices and enhanced their knowledge beyond the classroom. Overall, it was an informative and enriching experience for all the participants.

ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ದಿನಾಂಕ 13/02/2026 ರಂದು ವಾಗ್ಮಿಗಳಾಗದಂತಹ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ರಾಜೇಶ್ ಪದ್ಮಾರ್ ರವರು ದೇಶ ಕಟ್ಟುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯುವಜನತೆಯ ಪಾತ್ರ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹುರಿತುಂಬಿಸಿದರು.
