The Department of English organised an exclusive overseas workshop titled'Global Mind,Local Impact' overseas workshop on 17-8-2026,for final year students.The workshop aimed to equip students with global perspective,cross-cultural communication skills,and basic proficiency in foreign languages to prepare them for global studies and career.The workshop was well-received by students.The motivational address by Mr.Sudheendra M R,Business Head,Bhavishya Overseas,coupled with trainers Ms.Roopa Rathan and Ms.Ariane Rita Ngakam made the program both insightful and practical.

The Department of Commerce and Management organised “Head Honchos” on 14th August 2026, wherein the final-year B.Com and BBA students conducted the event for the second-year B.Com and BBA students. The event featured three rounds—Quiz, Presentation, and Logo Identification—designed to assess the students’ knowledge, communication, creativity, observation, and teamwork. The participants took part with great enthusiasm and displayed their skills throughout the event. Based on their overall performance in all three rounds, two teams were declared winners. The event successfully promoted healthy competition, confidence, teamwork, and interactive learning among the students.

Badges Exchange Programme – AY 2026–27

The Rotaract Club of MIT FGC organised the Badges Exchange Programme for the Academic Year 2026–27.

During the programme, the newly appointed office bearers of the Rotaract Club were introduced:

* President: Rtn. Gunashekar
* Vice President:Rtn. Mahadev Swamy
* Club Service Director: Rtn. Jeevan B

The programme was witnessed by Asst. Prof. Harsh*tha R, Asst. Prof. Reena Sateesh, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nanda T. N.

The event was also graced by our Rotaract Club Coordinator, Asst. Prof. Dinakar, along with all the Rotaract Committee members and the Board of Directors (BODs).

As part of the programme, biodegradable bags were distributed to the teaching and non-teaching staff to create awareness about the harmful effects of plastic and promote the use of eco-friendly alternatives.

The programme was successfully conducted with the active participation and support of all the members. We extend our best wishes to the newly appointed office bearers and wish them a successful

Two-Day Special Lecture on National Stock Exchange

The Department of Commerce and Management organized a *Two-day special lecture on the National Stock Exchange (NSE)* for B.Com and BBA students on 12th and 13th August 2026.

The sessions were conducted by Mr. Anil Varma, Securities Market Trainer ,SEBI who provided valuable insights into the functioning of the stock market, National Stock Exchange, securities market, and investment practices.

The programme was organized under the guidance of our Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Harsh*tha R and coordinated by Asst. Prof. Manohar N and Asst. Prof. Avinash.

The event was successfully conducted providing students with practical knowledge and a better understanding of the stock market and investment opportunities. The students actively participated in the sessions and benefited greatly from the valuable guidance and expertise of the resource person.

The *Department of Computer Applications* successfully conducted an event *Essay Competition* for the *First-Year Students* on 12/08/2026, commemorating the birth anniversary of *Vikramsara Bhai* . At the end of the competition winners were announced and appreciated by our Principal, Arvind G, and provided valuable insights for the students.

The competition provided students with an opportunity to express their thoughts, creativity, and writing skills. The event was coordinated by *Asst. Prof. Bhoomika M. M.* and *Asst. Prof. Abilasha C.*, Department of Computer Applications.

*The Department of Computer Applications*, in association with *IQAC* and *IIC*, successfully conducted a *"TECH STARTUP - Poster Presentation"* event.

The theme focused on *innovative tech startup ideas* where students presented solutions related to _AI, IoT, FinTech, EdTech, HealthTech, E-commerce, and Sustainable Technology_. The aim was to encourage *creative thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills* among BCA students.

*Round 1* was held on *07-08-2026*. A total of *70 posters* were exhibited by students, out of which *17 posters* were shortlisted.
*Final Round 2* was conducted on *08-08-2026*.

The event concluded successfully on both days with great enthusiasm and active participation from students.
