It was not until she stumbled upon Ashtanga yoga when she began the journey, immersing herself into a devoted practice a few years later in 1998. Since then, she has continued to draw inspir

Photography is a hobby of mine. Basically, I’m connoisseur of art, design, architecture, fashion—including photography. I appreciate anything that brings the spirit of something to life that those who have the eyes to see can enjoy.

Having a sun in Virgo and a strong stellium in Libra explains a lot. I can be relentless. I may not always know what I want, but when I see it and feel I know it instantly. Those who understand astrology know exactly where I am coming from.

When it comes to photography people are my favorite subject among a few others. I love capturing the essence of someone. I like to feel the person too. I have even found ways to create with self portraiture which has been fun. Following are a few favorite photos of some of my favorite people. Of course there are many I could have included.

So if I ask you if I can take your photo, and you don’t mind to indulge, it would be my pleasure. 📸

There’s no better freedom than focusing on what you can control and letting go of what you can’t. Then you start to realize what you can control is minimal at best and it starts with how you react to life and experience.

With an algorithm of talking heads what gets traction is sharing grievances and complaints. This is all mind stuff that can suck you right into what you can’t control along with people’s strong quest for relevance and influence. It’s a need that is never satisfied. Why give it attention?

Decades ago my pull to Ashtanga yoga was for the love of it. That’s it. Simple. Today, I can say the same because the tool is never the problem. It’s always how it is utilized.

No one said the path would be easy. However, wanting it to be makes things much harder. I just love this paradox, because when the noise out in the space makes things complicated I strive to keep it simple. Clarity is often underrated, because distraction is much easier and keeps the wheels of Samara spinning.

Ground yourself.
Keep clear and know nothing is ever missing.
If you have the love keep doing it. 🤍🧘🏽

Beautiful moments in • BEIJING •

The culture and political mecca of China.
A history that is both vast and deep.

The days went by so fast and yet I felt I was able to absorb so much. Whenever I visit a place I always strive for a multi layered experience. China never disappoints. ❤️ 🇨🇳

Sankalpa •

More than a goal, wish or decision. Think in terms of a vow.

It lives in the heart and gives guided vision in good times, but is needed especially in times of challenge when things feel foggy.

When you know your Sankalpa, clarity comes even when uncertain. For, you might not know what action to take, but you will at least know what direction to follow.

A worthwhile question to explore:
What is your Sankalpa?

Tianjin • China • 🇨🇳

My time has come to a close in Tianjin. My first time here. An impromptu visit that adds to over 10 years of travel to China. I’ve been lucky enough to see a fair amount of the country with so much more to explore and experience. The culture, the hospitality, it runs deep. ❤️

When is enough, enough?

I’ve always been a quality over quantity type of woman. Laying down frameworks and foundations can take you further than many may realize. However, it sounds too boring to sell, because sometimes it is. That’s the reality. Through the marketing machine, we are led to believe putting more on your plate is needed. We must optimize every moment and everything, yet presence and embodiment, and real listening go ignored. More noise. Less living.

So while others chase, I’m learning to relax and breathe into the challenge. Maybe it’s not about more, but to remain steadfast, doing what you are doing with new eyes—another perspective. Learning to relax into what is trying to reveal itself.

The luminaries of life always leaned into simplicity.
For, what’s needed is the most obvious, yet isn’t always seen because it sits so close.

Even when you don’t know where you’re going or where things may lead—one step forward can set a positive tone. Often with fear and uncertainty, we remain paralyzed—not taking any action. Movement or momentum can be necessary in getting unstuck.

Yes, mistakes are bound to happen, but readjusting calls for mental and physical agility. Those who do nothing never learn. Better to have tried than not at all.

Some may even criticize, but then again,
they are unwilling to sit inside the arena.

Once exposed, there is nothing to fear. 🔥

There’s no better tip than feeling like you have all the time in the world while you practice, even when you don’t. There should never be stress in the form of grasping. Otherwise, it becomes another stressor that is completely unnecessary.

Being in the zone is entering into a state of timelessness.
There is nothing to strive for but this moment—this breath.

Everyone tries to sell optimization and things to add and yet forget the most obvious part.

No drills. No frills.

What powers you comes from within.
Where the timeless wisdom of yoga practice is always guiding you. It transcends trends and viral moments. When the attention fades some of us will simply continue what we started.

Many sell provocation and discontent. Be very wary of buying into someone else’s vrittis (fluctuations & distractions)— even if they “teach.” It may not be your cross to bear.

Be still. Think for yourself.

Things start to lighten up when you let go of the load of other people’s expectations, and start setting real boundaries. If I would have known it would have this type of positive effect, I would have done it much sooner. In turn, everything begins to lighten up as the inner sight becomes more clear.

There is nothing better than clarity and freedom.
I’m don’t care about being liked. I care about truth.

With this alignment I feel like there is a wind at my back that pushes me forward. All I can say is it feels incredible.

Yes, I might be out on a limb— on the edge of uncertainty and the unknown, but can’t have real growth without it. 💨

There’s so much noise. Many are talking. Few are listening. Practice can be a sanctuary when there are too many inputs. The flow. The breath. It becomes a no mind synergy that gives solace where nothing is needed but this moment. 💨

You already have everything you need.
Maybe start looking where many ignore.
It’s always inside. 🪔🏹
