A Memorable Occasion in the History of SGS Veda Pathashala

10 June 2026

With the divine blessings of Parama Pujya Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji (Pujya Sri Dattaji) and under the guidance of Pujya Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji, the SGS Veda Pathashala, which has been dedicated to Veda preservation and propagation for nearly four decades, witnessed a significant and memorable occasion.

The Pathashala, which already offers several branches of Vedic and Shastric education, has now commenced a dedicated Shrauta Studies Division for the systematic study of Shrauta traditions and Yajna-related disciplines.

The inauguration of this new division took place in the presence of Pujya Sri Dattaji, with Brahmashri Hariveerabhadra Sharma Ghanapathi and Brahmashri M. R. Channakeshava Deeksh*t guiding and supporting the initiative.

A noteworthy aspect of this occasion is that Brahmashri Hari Phaniraja Datta Ghanapathi, who studied Shrauta Vidya under Brahmashri M. R. Channakeshava Deeksh*t, has now commenced teaching the same discipline to a new batch of students in the Shrauta Division.

This stands as a fine example of the Guru–Shishya Parampara, where knowledge received from one’s Guru is passed on to the next generation, ensuring the continuity of the Vedic tradition.

May this sacred lineage of learning continue to flourish through the divine Sankalpa of Pujya Sri Dattaji.
