As per a recent report, contributions towards CSR plunged sharply by 64% to Rs 8,828 crore in 2020-21 from Rs 24,689 crore the year before, making it the lowest in seven years. While the pandemic dampened the pace and spending, experts are positive that the contribution to CSR by the listed companies will increase as the situation normalizes.
