Dear All,
It fills my heart with immense pride and gratitude to share a deeply moving connection with you all.
On this Independence Day, we were honored by the presence of Major General Dr. Mohan Mutgikar (VSM) as our Chief Guest. He is the younger brother of 2/Lt Ashok Mutgikar—an alumnus of Sarada Vilas College who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
I am sharing a photograph of 2/Lt Ashok, so that we may take a moment to pause, remember, and pay our heartfelt tributes to this brave soul.
I am also attaching a YouTube video that captures something truly remarkable: the enduring love and respect of local villagers who continue to honor his memory to this day. Every year on August 15th, they warmly invite his family to join them, proving that the brave never truly die—they live on in the hearts of those they protected.
May his selfless service and hero’s legacy forever inspire us all. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳
Warm regards,
