Inspirational Leadership: The event was graced by Chief Guest Prof. P. Udaya Bhaskar (Professor of Civil Engineering, JNTUK & Former Chairman, APPSC), who motivated graduates to pursue continuous knowledge and resilience.

Words of Wisdom: Guest of Honor Prof. V.S.S. Kumar (Former Chairman NITTTR & Former VC, JNTUK) reminded students that engineering is about creativity and driving societal progress.

Navigating the AI Era: Guest of Honor Shri Suresh Kumar Kadiyam (Senior Director, Cognizant) emphasized the rapidly evolving job market, urging students to embrace AI, entrepreneurship, and innovation regardless of their domain.

The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Lakireddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering (Autonomous), in association with IEEE Guntur Subsection, successfully conducted "Codestruct 2026," a Data Structures Coding Challenge for III Year AI&DS students, on Saturday, 4th July 2026, at the AI&DS Seminar Hall (2S02).

Held over 2 hours 30 minutes, the challenge tested participants' logical reasoning, problem-solving ability, and command over core data structures concepts β€” encouraging disciplined, focused coding under time constraints.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. P. Bhagath, Convener, and coordinated by Mr. S.V.V.D. Jagadeesh and Mr. G. Rambabu, Senior Assistant Professors, Department of AI&DS. IEEE Guntur Subsection was represented by Mr. K. Sudhakar, Secretary, IEEE Guntur Subsection.

Top performers were recognised with exciting prizes β€” Asus laptop bags for the Frist Prize winners(2) and a pen drive for the 2nd Prize winner. Congratulations to Winner on their outstanding performance!

International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2026

On June 26, 2026, Lakireddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering (LBRCE), Mylavaram, observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) and the Eagle Club.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. K. Apparao emphasized how drug abuse is destroying the lives of today's youth and urged students to stay away from intoxicants to protect their health and future. He highlighted the role of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment as the nodal ministry for drug demand reduction, and the flagship Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), which is creating awareness across schools, colleges, and universities nationwide.

Vice Principal Dr. Ramesh Reddy noted that drug addiction is far more dangerous than habits like smoking or alcohol, often pushing victims toward crime, isolation, and even self-harm. He administered a pledge to students to stay drug-free and lead healthy, responsible lives.

The program saw active participation from the Principal, Vice Principal, Assistant NSS Programme Officer Sri S. Uma Maheswara Reddy, Eagle Club coordinators, departmental NSS coordinators, and students.
