College Association in response to the demand to develop academic excellences, aiming at imparting co-education under the well guided educational programme. This leading organisation is running a Post Graduate College, Two Intermediate Colleges, Polytechnic, Medical Institute & Research Centre, Engineering College and a college for Management Studies. The school is housed in triple storyed good looking buildings near Roadways Bus Stand for classes L.K.G. to V and at Patel Nagar, New Mandi, for the classes VI to XII, which follows the curriculum and courses laid down by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi [School Affiliation No. 2130006] and the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathen (Central School Organisation), New Delhi, under the new pattern introduced by the board in differentiated courses.

S.D. Public School hosted an insightful and enriching workshop on โ€œAlternatives to Punishment That Work,โ€ conducted by Ms Neerja Chathly.

The session focused on
Real concerns of teenagers and
moving beyond punitive approaches ,embracing positive, respectful and restorative ways of guiding children.

Educators explored practical strategies to:
โœจ Use logical and natural consequences effectively
โœจ Encourage reflection, responsibility and accountability
โœจ Reinforce positive behaviour and good choices
โœจ Communicate calmly, respectfully and constructively
โœจ Build empathy, self-discipline and emotional awareness
โœจ Create a safe, positive and supportive learning environment

The workshop beautifully reinforced the idea that discipline is not about controlโ€”it is about teaching children the skills they need to make better choices.

HAPPY CLASSROOM & MENTAL WELLNESS ORIENTATION

An insightful orientation session for the entire staff was conducted by our esteemed Principal maโ€™am, Mrs. Bharti Tiwari.

The session highlighted the importance of self-awareness, social awareness, self-motivation and self-regulation along with understanding childrenโ€™s expectations and emotional needs.

Key insights included dealing constructively with failure and maintaining a Teachersโ€™ Observation List to recognise studentsโ€™ behavioural, emotional and learning needs.

The enriching session encouraged teachers to foster happy, supportive and emotionally nurturing classrooms where every child feels understood, valued and motivated to grow.

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) announces the availability of two new Grade 9 textbooks for the academic year 2026-27.

The Grade 9 Mathematics textbook, Ganita Manjari โ€“ Part 2, has been printed and is available for sale from today, 21 September 2026 onwards.

The Grade 9 Social Science textbook, Understanding Society: India & Beyond โ€“ Part 2, will be available for sale from 30 September 2026 onwards.

Both textbooks will be available through NCERT Sales Counters, the NCERT website, and Amazon.

These new editions are aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023, supporting the evolving learning needs of students and the implementation of the new curricular approach.

Students, teachers, parents, and schools can purchase the textbooks through NCERTโ€™s authorised sales channels.

Both of these textbooks are being made available as per already approved schedule/plan.
