🏃‍♂️ Annual School Marathon 2026 🏃‍♂️

Today, St. George’s College, Mussoorie organised its much-awaited Annual School Marathon 2026, bringing together Manorites for a spirited morning of endurance, determination and sportsmanship.

The marathon was flagged off by Principal Rev. Bro. Jeyaseelan S. and Vice-Principal Rev. Bro. Sylvanus Kerketta. Students competed across five divisions, with each category following a different route designed according to their age group.

Today’s Morning Assembly was conducted by the students of Class X C on the meaningful theme of “Empathy.” The students shared inspiring quotes and beautifully brought the theme to life through a delightful presentation of O. Henry’s classic story, The Gift of the Magi. The assembly also featured an engaging book review.

During the assembly, the Monitors for the month of September took their oath, pledging to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity and dedication.

The assembly concluded with Mr. Anand Thapa, HOD – Sports, briefing the students on the rules and regulations for tomorrow’s Inter-House Marathon 2026, ensuring that all participants are well prepared for the much-awaited event.

Every Thursday, Class XII students are encouraged to improve their English through interesting and creative activities.

Today, they took part in an Essay Writing Competition on the topic: “Imagine your English lesson was cancelled for the day and you were taken to the School Archives Museum. Describe what you saw, the smell in the air and the sounds you heard. What was your experience by the end of the tour?”

With soft music playing in the background and toffees as a little reward, the students enthusiastically put their thoughts and imagination into words, making English learning both enjoyable and engaging.

🏑 History at the CISCE Hockey Nationals!

Our U19 Hockey Team created history by becoming the first team from Uttarakhand to reach the CISCE Hockey Nationals Final and secure a medal!

The team defeated Maharashtra & Goa 4–0 before overcoming Bihar & Jharkhand 4–3 in a thrilling penalty shootout to reach the final.

Students who excelled at LUMINA 2026, hosted by Unison World School were felicitated for their commendable performances.

Our young swimmers who participated in the 15th Mr. P.A. Kidd Inter-School Swimming Competition, held at Wynberg Allen School, were also recognised for winning medals across various events.

🏅 Annual Triathlon 2026 🏅

Early this morning, St. George’s College witnessed a thrilling display of endurance, strength and determination as Manorites took on the challenging Open Category Annual Triathlon 2026.

With five participants representing each House, the competition featured three demanding stages — a 6.7 km run, a 100-metre swim, and a 1.4 km weighted run, with participants carrying a 10 kg weight to the finish line.

After an intense test of stamina and perseverance, the top three positions were secured by:

The Annual Cultural Extravaganza of St. George’s College, Mussoorie, ‘Milestone 2026’, was held with great enthusiasm and grandeur on 12th September 2026, bringing together 400+ participants from 13 schools across Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
The day unfolded as a vibrant celebration of music, dance, theatre, art and creativity, with participants showcasing their talent across Vinyl Crossover (Music), Cosmic Cypher (Choreography), Sonic Opsis (Photography), Atelier Imaginius (Digital Poster Making), Meraki (Canvas Painting), Vestigium Mentis (Sketching & Shading), Pantheon (Sculpting), Al Rovescio (Modelling & Headgear) and Sprezzatura (Theatre). The competitions witnessed remarkable creativity, confidence and originality and were judged by an eminent panel of experts from diverse fields.
The Opening Ceremony was graced by Mr. Abhijay Sharma, singer and songwriter, who formally declared Milestone 2026 open. Sharing a personal connection with the event, he recalled participating in Milestone as a student and encouraged all participants to make the most of the opportunity.
The Closing Ceremony was graced by Mr. Aparshakti Khurana, acclaimed actor, television host and singer, who praised the participants and shared inspiring reflections on pursuing a creative journey. He also delighted the audience with a special rendition of ‘Bhavre Ki Gunjan’, making the conclusion truly memorable.

Principal Rev. Bro. Jeyaseelan S. expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guests, participating schools, es**rt teachers, students and the organising team for their contribution to the success of the event.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Manvendra Sheoran, President of the School Cultural Committee, acknowledging the Milestone Committee headed by Mrs. Deepali Ballabh and everyone whose dedication made the event a grand success.
