Milestone Reunions on the Hillside! It was wonderful to welcome back the Class of 1986 for their 40th Milestone Reunion and the Class of 2011 for their 15th Milestone Reunion. From reconnecting with old friends, teachers, and staff to spending time with current students, both classes brought such warmth, energy, and joy back to the hillside.
The Class of 2011 even received a dramatic Mussoorie welcome, with heavy thunderstorms and hail briefly keeping everyone in the dorms. We’ll take that as nature’s own way of welcoming them home!
Many congratulations to both classes on these special milestones. We wish you all the very best and hope to see you back on campus again soon. Click here to see more: https://www.woodstockschool.in/milestone-reunion-spring-2026-woodstock/

Last month, we had a wonderful visit from Glenn Conrad ‘68 and Tenzing Nema ‘80. It was especially meaningful as both are former members of our Advancement Office, formerly known as the Development Office.

During their time on campus, Glenn and Tenzing spent time engaging with students through a special Q&A session organised by students at the Centre for Imagination. They were also invited for an informal conversation with students in Hostel.

The conversations covered a wide range of topics, including fundraising, the WOSA community, the intercultural nature of Woodstock, and life beyond school. Many thanks to Glenn and Tenzing for spending time with us on campus last month.

Alumni on Campus: Karan Madhok ‘03. It was wonderful to have Karan, author and co-founder of the Landour Literature & Arts Festival, back on the hillside last week, engaging with students through the Centre for Imagination.

Working alongside English teacher David Frederick and Drama and English teacher Marta Mari Szypczynska, Karan led a special poetry workshop with Grade 8 students, building on their ongoing classroom work in poetic forms and creative writing. Students explored forms such as haiku, sonnets, and ekphrastic poetry, while also experimenting with language, expression, and voice.

Many thanks to Karan for returning to campus and continuing to give back to the Woodstock community.

Alumni Spotlight: Nisa Shetty ‘10! Nisa has built a vibrant career in music and the performing arts, one that began taking shape during her time at Woodstock. Today, she performs internationally, collaborates with Academy Award–winning composer A.R. Rahman, and has toured with leading artists including Arijit Singh, performing before audiences of thousands. As part of our Alumni Spotlight, we caught up with Nisa to reflect on her Woodstock years, the experiences that shaped her creative journey, and the work she continues to pursue today as a singer, actor, and performer. Woodstock Takeaway with Palden Tshering ‘91!

What’s your Woodstock takeaway?

Alumni Ambassador Palden Tshering ‘91 — a former Woodstock parent and a Woodstocker at heart — has a beautiful tradition while travelling the world. Whenever he meets fellow Woodstock alumni, he asks them just one question:
“What’s your Woodstock takeaway?”

No introductions.
No class years.
No titles.

If you were at Woodstock, that’s enough.

If you spot yourself or a friend in these videos, don’t forget to tag them. It’s fascinating what we share when asked just that one question.

Last week marked one of the first of many graduation events for our seniors in the coming months, the Time Capsule! The senior class, Aeternus, came together to place a box filled with memories and small tokens from their final year at Woodstock. Alongside them were their homeroom teachers and advisors, gathering to begin the countdown to their final few weeks before graduation. It’s a meaningful reminder that soon they will step out into the world as Woodstock alumni and we are already so very proud of them. We wish them all the very best for the weeks ahead.
