SIRI MANTRA – Multi Millet Soup Initiative. A Flagship Program of Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, A.V. College of Arts, Science and Commerce (Autonomous),

The Department organized a Multi Millet Soup Distribution for the teaching,non-teaching staff and students as part of the program. The soup, prepared by B.Sc. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics III Year students, promoted the nutritional benefits of traditional millets and healthy eating.

The initiative created awareness about incorporating millets into daily diets for improved health and sustainable nutrition, while encouraging the revival of traditional food practices.

Poster Presentation Competition on Food Safety

The Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics organized a Poster Presentation Competition for 2nd & 3rd year students on the theme "Food Safety" on 10th July 2026 at the Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Laboratory.

The students, presented informative and creative posters highlighting the importance of food safety in promoting health and preventing foodborne illnesses.
Their presentations reflected scientific knowledge, innovation, and awareness of current food safety practices.

The event provided an excellent platform for students to enhance their presentation skills while reinforcing the importance of food safety in everyday life and clinical practice.

Through this three-day hands-on workshop, our students explored Tally with GST, inventory management, and practical accounting in both classroom and lab sessions. By combining theory with real-time practice, they're building the skills and confidence needed for the professional world. At AV College, we don't just teach, we prepare students for their future."
