Urban Balconies

A group of experts from various disciplines – Urban design, planning specialist from - Urban – environmental- transport streams, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Conservation to Early childhood and education. The team members not only belonged to different disciplines but while working on the competition they were stationed at different locations, India – Belgium and Netherlands.

The team had collaborated for the first time and it was similar thoughts and principles to cater to public spaces, walkability and designing sustainable and environmental friendly spaces in urban context that help them work together well. And they are looking forward to work on similar opportunities in future.

Presenters: TEAM+

TEAM + is a group of members collaborated together from varied fields – Architecture, Urban design, Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning.
Of which four members– Ar. A.R.Ramanathan, Ar. Snehanshu Mukherjee, Ar.Siddharth Mishra and Ar. Anamika Bagchi are from the design firm named “TEAM” based in Delhi which is an as an organisation which was formed in 1985 by a group of architects. The firm has grown over the 30 years as a close knit group of creative professionals from the fields of Architecture, Urban Design, Planning, Building Engineering and Management.

The other collaborators are:

Landscape Architect Adit Pal who has a project experience of over 25 years in both the US and India. He has also been associated with academia in both countries.
Landscape Architect Saurabh Popli and an Associate Professor at the Department of Landscape, School of Planning and Architecture Bhopal. His research has focused on complex, contested, and obscure ways in which landscapes shape - and are shaped by – culture.
Urban Planner and GIS expert - Shubham Mishra. He uses his training of an urban planner to explore landscapes – both built and natural – to link the present to the past.

A multi- disciplinary team of young professionals with common interests in exploring various concepts in planning like participatory toolkit for climate resilience, regenerative ecology, community centric designing and collaborative governance. They belong to different disciplines – Architecture, Urban design to Landscape Architecture and they continue to explore these concepts and more through such similar opportunities.

Sponge collaborative
They are a multidisciplinary collective - and are exploring new models of urban development - working across Boston, Chennai, Kochi and Delhi. The collaborative brings together experts from disciplines such as Landscape planning, Urban design, Architecture, Urban development and continues to seek and engage with many more disciplines to elaborate on issues pertaining to the Anthropocene on geographies and settlements.
