Event - WHO IS EELA

I use a bunch of adjectives when I describe her to others ugly , lazy and fat, but she's actually the sweet, passionate and has the most gripping personality. She gives the sweetest smile when I make fun of her. The eldest and the wisest out of all my siblings , even if she gives advice instantly it's always perfect. She believes in talking about the problems which is completely opposite of how I deal with them . Sometimes she holds back but she's like a little bottle of soda and fizzes out at the end of the incident but into laughter. She fights for me and with me when it comes to food. She Nevers orders for anything when I ask her what she wants to eat but always wants to taste and I still wonder why does it take her half a biriyani to figure out that it's too spicy for her to finish it , she's my sister can't reason with her but will fight for reason.

Event - WHO IS EELA

For me, Eela is my best friend, Asees Gulati. Being friends with her was like adopting an introvert and teach them how to talks to humans. Despite not at being the similar kind of people our bond is really vigorous. She’s one the most passionate girls I have ever met and I am proud to have her in my life. She basically cares about me like she’s my mother but in a cooler way.
My high school life would be very different if it wasn’t for her. Honestly, it would have been boring. She doesn’t know how to make conversations but once she’s comfortable you can’t shut her up as she rants about her favourite Korean Pop band known as BTS. Asees is very intelligent and soon is going to be a doctor. She’s a punjabi and has a lovely family. She didn’t just teach me in group studies but also I learned many life lessons from her. She’s my go to person. Always giving me the best advice and being straight up being blunt and honest with me during all phases in my life. Clearly, I trust her the most and she has never disappointed in my life. I think her best trait is that she’s very positive in life and it is easy to be happy around her.
She’s a foodie like me and we always wind up in chaat on the streets. I have uncountable memories with her and I will cherish them forever. Having someone like her is a blessing in life.

Event - WHO IS EELA

My mom had always been the one who would never say no. From the day she got married to the day I got my period at the age of fourteen. She never said no until it was me who had to deal with superstitions where if a girl gets her period, she becomes impure. I was suddenly treated with disgust at my own house. I couldn’t touch anybody in my family or sleep in my bed. I had to sleep on the floor, eat on the floor and wash my vessels on my own. To top it all my first time period cramps convinced me that I was going to die. My mother couldn’t bear with any of it and for the first time she said, “No!”, she said no to the discrimination, no to the false belies and no to the sheer ignorance. My mother, my Eela taught me the value of the word “No!” at a time when the women truly needed to know and fight back. My Eela is my warrior.
