Tu - you (informal) Vous - you(formal)
Il - he Ils - they(masculine plural)
Elle - she Elles - they(feminine plural)
Example:
Je mange means I eat
Ils dansent means They are dancing
Elle est means She is
This are also called Subjects pronoun in French

Let me discuss a basic knowledge foe French. Gender plays an important part in French, one of the most important differences between French and English is how gender is used. Every French noun is either masculine or feminine, and this affects how the noun is treated. This phenomenon comes from the language’s Latin origins.
Learning the gender of French nouns, one has to keep in mind that the meaning of the noun , one has to more or less memorize the gender of each noun, although you can often (but not always) tell whether a word is masculine or feminine by looking at its ending. so for today these are the general rules.
