Su***de Prevention Awareness Session
A meaningful and sensitising session on Prevention of Su***de was conducted on 27th April 2026 at the Solagran Hall for all staff members of the institution. The session was led by Ms. Leonie Dmello, Founder of Sneh Aangan, along with her team member Ms. Roweena Kavadia.
The session aimed to equip educators with awareness, sensitivity, and practical tools to support individuals who may be struggling emotionally. It began by addressing common myths and facts surrounding su***de, helping participants distinguish misconceptions from reality and understand the seriousness of the issue.
The resource persons then highlighted various warning signs that may indicate when a person is silently struggling. Staff members were guided on how to identify behavioral and emotional cues, enabling early recognition and timely support. This was followed by an insightful discussion on assessing risk factors, giving participants a clearer understanding of situations and vulnerabilities that may increase a person’s distress.
A significant part of the session focused on preventive measures that can be taken by families, teachers, and peers. Emphasis was laid on building a supportive environment, fostering open communication, and being attentive listeners.
The introduction of the QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) technique was especially impactful. This simple yet powerful approach provided staff with a structured way to respond when someone may be in emotional distress—encouraging them to ask the right questions with empathy, offer reassurance, and guide the individual towards appropriate help.
The session concluded on a deeply hopeful note, encouraging participants to become bearers of compassion and understanding. It reinforced the importance of “sowing seeds of hope”—reminding everyone that even small acts of care and empathy can make a profound difference. Staff members were inspired to actively look out for those in need, support them with patience, and help them rediscover the value of life.
The session was both enlightening and empowering, leaving the participants better prepared to make a positive impact in the lives of their students and colleagues.
“The enemy comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have Life, and Life in all its Abundance” - with this assurance from Jesus Christ, the session ended with a commitment to work together towards Choosing and Promoting Life.

Educational Talk on “Failure Lab”
An insightful and engaging educational talk titled “Failure Lab” was conducted on Friday, 13th March 2026 in the Solagran Hall for the students of Grades 7 and 8.
The session was led by Ms. Rutu Bauva, along with our ex-student Krish Shah and a dedicated team of volunteers from the Neenv Community Project. The workshop centered around the important theme of handling failure positively by building emotional resilience and cultivating the right mindset.
Through a series of interactive and activity-based discussions, students were encouraged to reflect on their perceptions of failure. The session emphasized the need to move beyond the pressures created by self-expectations and societal standards, helping students understand that self-worth lies more in one’s being than merely in performance.
A highlight of the workshop was the enthusiastic participation of students, many of whom courageously shared their personal experiences. This open exchange fostered a supportive environment, enabling students to connect, reflect, and learn from one another.
Overall, the session proved to be enriching and meaningful. It empowered students to view life’s challenges and failures as valuable opportunities for learning and growth, equipping them with a more positive and resilient outlook towards life.
