Football Fiesta 2026

A Celebration of Football, Teamwork and Sportsmanship

The school hosted its much-awaited Football Fiesta on 22nd August 2026 at the ground of St. Xavier’s High School, Mumbai-01. The event brought together students and teachers for a day filled with enthusiasm, competition and sporting spirit. The programme commenced at 8:00 a.m. and concluded at 1:30 p.m.

The opening ceremony began with the pledge, school song and national anthem, setting a disciplined and spirited tone for the day. The School Captain and School Sports Coordinator, who were in charge of the opening ceremony, marched onto the ground, marking the official beginning of the much-awaited Fiesta.

The ceremony was followed by the formal declaration of the event. Dr. Father Francis Swami SJ, the Manager of the school, declared the Football Fiesta open, officially setting the matches in motion.

Students had been divided into various teams, each representing a different footballing nation, including Argentina, Spain, Croatia, France, Portugal etc. Each team was placed under the guidance of a teacher, with teachers taking responsibility for their respective country teams and encouraging the students throughout the event.

The matches were conducted across different categories, with both Primary and Secondary boys taking to the field. The ground remained filled with cheers, excitement and spirited competition as students displayed their footballing skills, teamwork and determination.

The presence and support of the teachers added to the enthusiasm of the occasion. Every team played with great energy and sportsmanship, while the students cheered enthusiastically for their teammates and represented their respective countries with pride.

The Football Fiesta concluded at 1:30 p.m., leaving behind an atmosphere of joy, camaraderie and school spirit. The event successfully brought students and teachers together through their shared love for football, making it a memorable and vibrant sporting occasion for the school.

A Heartfelt Tribute to Our Teachers

Teachers' Day was celebrated on 4 September with gratitude and enthusiasm, honouring our faculty for their dedication to nurturing students and forming young men of human excellence.
The celebrations began in the classrooms, where students expressed their appreciation through handmade cards and thoughtful gifts. Teachers and staff from all sections were then escorted as special guests to the Solagran Auditorium for a cultural programme hosted by Class 10. The venue featured a beautifully decorated stage and backdrop, made possible through the efforts of the PTA and student volunteers.

The programme commenced with a prayer service and the ceremonial lighting of the flame in a coconut shell. Teachers were invited to the stage individually to light candles. Once all had gathered, special prayers were offered for them. This was followed by an emotional audio-visual presentation expressing students' gratitude, an engaging skit, a poem recitation by the Primary Section, and a special song by the Secondary Section. The School Captain and the School Principal shared words of appreciation, while vibrant dance performances by students from both sections added joy and energy to the celebration.

The formal programme concluded with a vote of thanks, during which Ms Roohi Sheikh expressed sincere appreciation to everyone whose efforts contributed to the day's celebrations.
Following the programme, the staff enjoyed tea, snacks, and fellowship before attending a grand luncheon hosted by the PTA Executive Committee and parent volunteers. The afternoon featured music, dancing, interactive games, and a sumptuous feast, creating a joyful atmosphere of relaxation and camaraderie.
The Academy extends its heartfelt gratitude to the PTA Executive Committee and parent volunteers for their generosity, dedication, and meticulous planning. Their efforts made the Teachers' Day celebration a truly special and memorable experience for the entire staff.

Primary Section - Teacher's Day Celebrations:

The Teacher’s Day Celebration was held with great enthusiasm and warmth at the Sologran Hall on 4th September 2026 , creating a truly memorable occasion for the teachers.

The celebration was a beautiful expression of love, gratitude and appreciation by the students. They presented a delightful array of performances, including a heartfelt poem, a melodious songs, an engaging short skit, a PPT presentation, a speech and energetic dance performances. Each presentation reflected the students’ creativity and affection for their teachers, making the programme lively and meaningful.

Following the celebration in the hall, the teachers were invited to the Media Room for a delightful High Tea, providing everyone with an opportunity to relax, interact and enjoy the cheerful spirit of the day.

The celebrations continued at 12 noon, when the PTA hosted a special Teacher’s Day programme in the Sologran Hall. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and excitement as teachers enthusiastically participated in a variety of fun and engaging games. The parents expressed their heartfelt appreciation by presenting the teachers with tokens of appreciation, making the gesture especially touching and memorable.

The celebration concluded with a hearty lunch, bringing together teachers and parents in a warm and joyful atmosphere.

The day was more than just a celebration—it was a beautiful reminder that teaching is a shared journey, enriched by the love of students and the support and appreciation of parents. The thoughtful efforts of the students and the PTA made the occasion truly special and left the teachers with cherished memories to take home.

Pre-Primary Orientation :

On 20th July 2026, the Pre-Primary section conducted an orientation programme for parents. The programme began with an address by Father Swami, the Manager, who welcomed the parents and shared his valuable insights.

This was followed by an informative session on “Building Your Child’s Foundation for Lifelong Learning”, conducted by our in-house counsellor, Ms. Aarti Sharma. The session focused on the importance of nurturing children’s early learning experiences and building a strong foundation for their overall development.
The orientation concluded with the respective class teachers sharing the academic goals and expectations for the year with the parents. The session provided parents with a clear understanding of the school’s approach, learning objectives, and the collaborative role they can play in supporting their child’s development.

Inter-house Senior’s Quiz Competition 2026

The annual Inter-House Quiz competition for the seniors was held on 19th August, 2026. The preliminary rounds on the themes of Maths, English and Science were held the previous day. The boys enjoyed testing their language skills in games like 20 questions and Taboo and their logical thinking ability doing maths puzzles. They were able to tap into their knowledge of Science practical work and Lab discipline during the Science round. The substitutes had a special round too.

The quiz had 4 new rounds as part of the Scattergories section which were based on this year’s theme: ‘Forming mindful minds in digital times’. The teams found the questions both exciting and challenging. The students also had to compete against each other in Social science, Science, Mathematics, Sports, English and Marathi. The audio round made everyone think a little harder as they had to identify the animal from the sounds they make. The entertainment round included the questions from their favourite movies: Harry Potter, The Marvel world, DC comics and Stranger Things. The audience too enjoyed the quiz and were supportive of their teams.

Teachers’ Day Special Assembly – A Tribute to Our Beloved Teachers

Std. 4-2 proudly presented a special assembly to celebrate and honour the dedication, love and invaluable contribution of our teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

The programme commenced with a prayer, seeking blessings and expressing gratitude for the guiding light that teachers bring into the lives of their students. This was followed by a graceful prayer dance, which added serenity and beauty to the morning.

The students then continued the celebrations with a heartfelt speech and an inspiring poem, expressing their love and appreciation for their teachers. Their confident presentation reflected the enthusiasm and effort they had put into preparing for the special occasion.

A highlight of the assembly was a beautifully curated PPT presentation, which took everyone down memory lane. It brought back cherished memories of our past and present colleagues, celebrating the many teachers who have been an integral part of the school’s journey and have touched countless lives through their dedication and service.

The nostalgic presentation was followed by a melodious song, creating a warm and emotional atmosphere. As the song played, the students expressed their gratitude by distributing a token of love and appreciation to the teachers, making the moment truly special and memorable.

The assembly was a beautiful blend of prayer, talent, gratitude, nostalgia and celebration. The students of Std. 4-2 participated with great enthusiasm and confidence, showcasing excellent teamwork and making the Teachers’ Day celebration a meaningful and heartfelt tribute to all the wonderful teachers.

A teacher plants the seeds of knowledge, nurtures them with love and watches them blossom into beautiful futures. 🌸

The assembly concluded with smiles, appreciation and hearts filled with gratitude for the teachers who continue to inspire, guide and empower every child.

Primary Section - Independence Day Special Assembly 2026

A special assembly was conducted for the Primary Section on 14th August to celebrate the spirit of Independence Day. The Grade 4 boys organised and presented the assembly with great enthusiasm.
The students came dressed in traditional attire and began the programme with a prayer for our nation. They presented a patriotic dance and spoke about the importance of the National Flag.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, the teachers were thanked for their guidance and support. The assembly was a meaningful celebration with a sense of pride that inspired the students to be patriotic, united and proud of our nation.
