At Yeshwantrao Chavan Sabhagruh, the Real Estate and Infra Summit 2026 organized by Republic Bharat TV was inaugurated by the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde. On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister presented a vision for the comprehensive development of the state.

Students from our department actively participated in the summit under the guidance of Hod Dr. Sunder Rajdeep. The event was led by Prof. Dr. Sanjivani Dipake Madam. Students Samyak Kadam and Mrunalini Sarpe coordinated the activities.

Through this summit, Republic Bharat TV provided our students with an opportunity to engage in the process of development in a developing country. We are grateful to Republic Bharat TV for this opportunity.

Today we had a very good interaction with Ms. Dahlia Tawakol,
Consul General of Egypt in Mumbai on the various elements of the academic collaboration. Thank you Prof. Renu Nauriyal madam for joining the meeting 🤝

We had an interaction with Shimada Megumi, Consul, Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai alongwith our Sr. faculty member Renu Nauriyal madam & the students to our department of Communication & Journalism, University of Mumbai.
There was a fruitful discussion on Indo-Japan Cultural information.

Farewell to the 2024 batch. All of you all the best for your bright future

Various activities are regularly organized in the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at the University of Mumbai. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, senior journalist and President of the Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh, Ms. Swati Ghosalkar, was invited to interact with the female students of the department and discuss the challenges they may face in their future careers as women.

Ms. Swati Ghosalkar shared her experiences with aspiring young women journalists who wish to pursue a career in journalism and engaged in a friendly and open interaction with them.

On this occasion, Head of the Department Dr. Sundar Rajdeep, Dr. Sanjivani Dipke, Prof. Khushi Kedia, Prof. Daivata Patil, Prof. Sonali Mohapatra, Kaveri Akiwate, Shubhangi Tambe, and a large number of students were present.

The program was hosted by Maitri Patil, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Siddhi Gosavi. Notably, the event was organized with the initiative taken by the students. Future male journalists welcomed the aspiring female journalists by presenting them with flowers.
