Meet Puneet Samtani, Head Lecturer at Abbey Road Institute Mumbai. 🎛️

With 18+ years of experience across music production, recording, mixing, and sound design, Puneet brings a wealth of industry knowledge into the classroom.

From working across film, OTT, television, and advertising to collaborating with some of India’s leading artists and creators, his experience spans both the creative and technical sides of the industry.

At Abbey Road Institute Mumbai, Puneet combines this experience with his passion for education—mentoring students, overseeing academics, and creating opportunities to learn directly from the industry.

A look into the story of Western music in India with someone who has been closely connected to the industry for years.

Writer and music journalist Arjun S Ravi , who went on to co-found Only Much Louder, joined students at Abbey Road Institute Mumbai for a screening of Standing By, his docuseries tracing the evolution of Western music in India from the 1930s to today.

The screening was followed by an engaging Q&A, with students getting the chance to ask Arjun about the stories, people, and changing landscape behind the series.
