Meet our alumnus, Shreyas Porus Pardiwalla, a graduate from our 2010 batch. A theatre and Bollywood actor, Shreyas has starred in several Hindi feature films and award-winning short films as well as web series and a whole host of music videos and commercials. With a Diploma in Method Acting from the Jeff Goldberg Studio and a Diploma in Theatre, allied with a Masters in Clinical Psychology, Shreyas knows how to get under the skin of each character he enacts. He’s taken his love for acting to the stage too, where apart from acting in 7 plays, he’s also directed a further 6 plays. Here is looking forward to seeing Shreyas shine in his chosen career and reach greater heights with each opportunity.

Meet our alumna - and current faculty member, Pooja Shah Javeri, a graduate from our 2010 batch. Pooja didn't originally plan on becoming a teacher but immediately after her under-graduation, in 2013, she got the opportunity to teach at B.D. Somani. While it felt a little different initially being on the other side of the fence, Pooja took to teaching without any hesitation and believes these have been the most enriching years of her life and can't imagine herself in any other career. Over this time, she also finished her Bachelors in Education and Masters in Commerce, experiencing being an educator and a student at the same time. She looks forward to keeping on learning, teaching and growing in this field and we look forward to seeing, and being part of, Pooja's journey.

Meet our alumnus Rajat Agarwal, a graduate from our 2012 batch, who is now Syndication and Creative Head at Ultra Media and Entertainment. Since an early age, Rajat aspired to direct movies and worked towards this goal. First with short courses in film making from Mumbai in 2010 and New York Film Academy, Los Angeles in 2013, followed by an MA in Screenwriting from London Film School which helped him establish a strong technical foundation. In 2014, he was chosen as an Assistant Director for Bollywood’s highest budgeted film, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. After this movie, Rajat worked on scripts for both short films and feature films, before making two critically appreciated short films. Rajat has recently ventured into production and his first feature film as a producer – Chippa – is now available on Netflix. Here is wishing Rajat all the best for all his future endeavours.

Dear ex students,

We have finalised Saturday, 5th January 2019 for the next BD Alumni Reunion. This time, it will be held outside of school at the Trident Rooftop. We are currently in the process of planning the event and would love to get ex students involved, especially with advertising the event across the different classes that have graduated from the school. Also, this is Mr Gardner's last reunion so we are really hoping that we can make it the best one yet! :)
