In 2016, a gamekeeper crossed a Norwegian plateau and found 323 reindeer dead in a 50-meter circle. Lightning had hit the wet ground beside them. The current spread through the soil and stopped every heart in seconds. Then officials made a strange call: they left every body where it fell.

A lightning bolt carries around 20,000 amps. A microwave uses about 12. When that much current hits wet dirt, it spreads through the soil like a flood. Reindeer have legs spread far apart, and that spacing turns each animal into a circuit. Current goes up one leg, through the heart, and out the other. Roughly half of all lightning deaths in people and animals happen this way, with no direct contact at all. The same effect killed 654 sheep on a Utah ridge in 1918, and 835 sheep on another Utah ridge in 1939. The 1939 strike took out 98 percent of an 850-animal flock.

Most lightning casualties get buried or burned. The Norwegian officials cut the heads off the reindeer to test for a brain illness that infects deer, then walked away. A Norwegian biologist named Sam Steyaert saw what they had left and went up the mountain with cameras. He set them around the bodies and waited.

The list of visitors got long. Foxes, wolverines, golden eagles, ravens, crows, all came in waves to feed. They tore at the carcasses and left droppings everywhere. The droppings contained living crowberry seeds. The team checked 24 of them, all from crows and ravens, and found live seeds in 21.

Crowberry is the plant that holds the Norwegian highlands together. Whole ecosystems run on it. But it almost never spreads by seed, because the seeds need bare, nutrient-rich soil to sprout, and the high tundra rarely has that kind of ground. The decomposing reindeer changed everything. Each body leaked its nutrients into the dirt around it, killing the plants directly underneath but creating the kind of rich, exposed patch a crowberry seedling needs.

By 2018, the kill zone was sprouting fresh growth. Crowberry seedlings, grasses, and sedges, all coming up through the bones. The reindeer that died in one second of bad weather were quietly seeding the next generation of plants on that hillside.

A joyous moment for every Indian!

Chola Copper Plates dating back to the 11th Century will be repatriated to India from the Netherlands. Took part in the ceremony for the same in the presence of Prime Minister Rob Jetten.

The Chola Copper Plates are a set of 21 large plates and 3 small plates and largely contain texts in Tamil, one of the most beautiful languages of the world. They relate to the great Rajendra Chola I formalising an oral commitment made by his father, King Rajaraja I. They also showcase the greatness of the Cholas. We in India are immensely proud of the Cholas, their culture and their maritime prowess.

I thank the Government of the Netherlands and Leiden University in particular, where the Copper Plates were kept since the mid-19th century.

The average ej*******on is about 2.25 milliliters and takes about 5 seconds.

This makes the average bandwidth of the human p***s 1,687 terabytes per second.

I know....thats a lot of information to swallow.

In 1972, if you polled Yale Law School on which person in this photo would have the bigger political career, every single person would have picked the woman on the right. And they would have been wrong.

Three years before this photo, Hillary Rodham was already nationally famous. She delivered the first student commencement speech in Wellesley College's history, went off-script to publicly challenge a sitting U.S. Senator, received a seven-minute standing ovation, and landed in LIFE magazine's "Class of '69" feature alongside four other student leaders. She was 21. Bill Clinton was nobody outside of Georgetown.

At Yale, she was the one with the trajectory. After graduation in 1973, she joined the Watergate impeachment inquiry staff investigating Nixon. A Democratic political consultant named Betsey Wright moved from Texas to Washington specifically to help manage Hillary Rodham's career. Wright believed she had the potential to become a senator or president. Bill had returned to Arkansas to teach law and lost his first congressional race in 1974.

Hillary turned down his first marriage proposal. She later wrote that she "chose to follow my heart instead of my head" when she moved to Arkansas. She became one of two female faculty at the University of Arkansas Law School, founded the state's first legal aid clinic, then joined Rose Law Firm as its first female associate. By 1979 she was its first female partner. The National Law Journal named her one of the 100 most influential lawyers in America. Twice.

The income math tells the real story. Bill made $35,000 a year as governor. Hillary earned $110,000 at the firm plus $60,000 in corporate board fees from Walmart, TCBY, and LaFarge. A local bar was so confident their bartender was the strongest man around that they offered a standing $1,000 bet.

The bartender would squeeze a lemon until every last drop of juice was in a glass, then hand the lemon to a customer.

Anyone who could squeeze out even one more drop would win the money.

Over the years, many people tried, including weightlifters, dock workers, and bodybuilders, but nobody could do it.

One day, a skinny little man in thick glasses and a cheap polyester suit walked in and said in a tiny squeaky voice, “I’d like to try the bet.”

After the laughter had died down, the bartender said okay, grabbed a lemon, and squeezed until the rind was completely dry. Then he handed it to the little man.

The bar fell silent as the man clenched the lemon in his fist…

…and six more drops fell into the glass.

The crowd erupted.

The bartender handed over the $1,000 and asked, “What do you do for a living? Are you a lumberjack? A weightlifter?”

The man replied, “I work for the IRS.”

"Before boarding Air Force One to leave Beijing, the entire U.S. delegation dumped every item given to them by Chinese hosts, including gifts, badges, pins, and commemorative items, into a trash bin on site."

Now this may sound harsh on the surface but it is actually a matter of security protocol. Understand that modern Chinese engineering has perfected the science of "Passive Audio Surveillance". Here, even a small pin with no battery and no electronics can contain a passive resonant cavity. When Chinese intelligence beams a specific radio frequency at that pin from outside the room, the cavity would vibrate with the sound of the President's voice and reflects the signal back.
This would effectively allow them to listen to "secure" private conversations without ever having to plant a traditional bug that could be detected by a battery sweep.

Secondly, it is possible to insert a tiny chip that is smaller than a grain of rice into these pins. This allows Chinese intelligence to track the exact movement of every single US official within a building. They can see exactly which aides are meeting in private and which rooms they are entering.
It provides the CCP with a real time map of the administration's internal social and professional dynamics.

For the case of using burner phones instead of their real phones, that one does not even need an explanation. If Trump ever brought his phone to Beijing, the entire secrets of America would be in the palms of Xi Jinping. This includes every CIA message, classified Pentagon intelligence, top secret nuclear launch protocols, secure encryption keys, and sensitive diplomatic strategy documents.
Such mistakes would be too deadly and can turn a personal smartphone into a persistent 24/7 surveillance beacon that records every word and tracks every move even after the delegation returns to the Oval Office.

So this is not a matter of rudeness from Washington but a tight security protocol. The U.S. delegation knows that a gift from a rival power is never just a gift. It is a permanent invitation for an adversary to sit at the table with the President. They threw those items in the trash because it is the only way to ensure that

In 2007, a 26-year-old actor from New Delhi walked onto a Hollywood set with almost no experience.

His name was Kunal Nayyar.

He had only two acting credits to his name.

No major fame.

No guarantee of success.

Just a role in a new sitcom called The Big Bang Theory.

He played Rajesh Koothrappali — a painfully shy astrophysicist who could not speak to women without alcohol.

At first, almost nobody knew the show would become a cultural phenomenon.

Then it exploded.

Twelve seasons.

279 episodes.

Global syndication.

One of the most successful sitcoms in television history.

By the final seasons, Kunal and his original co-stars were reportedly earning around one million dollars per episode.

Forbes later ranked him among the highest-paid television actors in the world.

The kind of money most people cannot realistically imagine.

And with that kind of success usually comes a familiar transformation:

Bigger houses.

Luxury cars.

Public excess.

A life carefully curated for magazines and social media.

Kunal Nayyar went in a very different direction.

Years after The Big Bang Theory ended, he quietly revealed something unexpected during an interview.

Late at night, after dinner, when the world becomes quiet…

he opens GoFundMe.

He scrolls through fundraising pages posted by strangers.

Children needing surgery.

Families drowning in cancer bills.

Parents begging for help with treatments they cannot afford.

And sometimes, anonymously, he pays.

A chemotherapy bill disappears.

A surgery gets funded.

A debt vanishes from someone’s life overnight.

The families never know it was him.

He called it his “masked vigilante thing.”

The phrase sounded almost shy when he said it.

Like he was slightly embarrassed to even mention it publicly.

That detail matters.

Because genuine generosity rarely performs itself loudly.

And Kunal does not stop there.

Alongside his wife, Neha Kapur, he quietly funds scholarships for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Young people whose families could never afford university otherwise.

They also support animal charities because, as he once explained simply:

“We love dogs.”

No giant publicity campaigns.

No celebrity-branded foundation demanding attention.

No gala dinners centered around his own image.

Just quiet help.

Quietly given.

And perhaps the most revealing thing Kunal Nayyar ever said about kindness was this:

“Right now people are not happy because we are all expecting someone else to be kind.”

Then he continued:

“We are expecting a president or a politician, some leader, to come and bring us world peace. But there is no world peace if your neighbour comes to your door wanting some sugar for their tea and you lock it against them and say, get away.”

That may be the entire philosophy underneath his life.

Be the neighbor.

Open the door.

Hand over the sugar.

Because to Kunal Nayyar, money is not proof of superiority.

It is responsibility.

A tool.

A chance to reduce suffering quietly when you can.

And there is something deeply moving about the fact that he does it anonymously.

Because anonymous generosity removes ego from the equation entirely.

No applause.

No recognition.

No gratitude directed back toward him personally.

Only relief.

Somewhere tonight, a family may refresh a fundraising page and discover their child’s surgery has suddenly been paid for.

They may cry.

They may hold each other in disbelief.

They may whisper thank you into an empty room without knowing who heard them.

And somewhere else, Kunal Nayyar may already be asleep.

Not waiting for praise.

Not checking headlines.

Not needing credit.

Because for him, the point was never to be seen doing something good.

The point was simply that someone needed help…

and he could help them.

That is a very rare kind of wealth.

The kind that leaves the world lighter instead of louder.
