Hello everyone, As you have noticed there have been no post on this group for a long time. It is because this page was created for the Mummy exhibition alone. Several times we have thought of closing this group but keep it open solely for its documentation of the Mummy: The Inside Story exhibition. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya is a Grade I Heritage building of Mumbai. The museum is a major landmark in the Kala Ghoda Art Precinct, along with NGMA, Jehangir Art Gallery and Regal Cinema.

The Exhibition comes to an end. Thank you everyone on the page for spreading the word about the exhibition and sharing your beautiful experiences here. This truly has been a wonderful experience for everyone of us associated with making this exhibition a successful one. We know you loved it as much as we did being a part of it. We been getting a lot of enquirers from smaller groups ranging from 4 to 10 about booking a guided tour on the last two days. Unfortunately we will not be able to book any guided tours here. You can be at the exhibition for the regular guided tour at 11am and 2.30pm.

Just 6 days left for the Exhibition to stay in Mumbai. By the time the Exhibition end there would have been 157 booked tours conducted for Schools & Ngos.

Nesperennub's snake amulet
One of the most intriguing features revealed by the 3D images of Nesperennub is a small object in the shape of a snake, which lies just above the right eye. It takes the form of the cobra, the hieroglyphic sign for the sound 'dj'. The object does not show up on conventional X-rays and seems to be made of a substance of relatively low density; wax is a possibility, since this was believed by the Egyptians to have magical properties and was used to fashion objects and figurines that were placed on the mummy.
