Grateful for yet another opportunity to train a young batch of MBA post graduates in getting them ready to face the Corporate World. As an MBA myself, it always takes me back to the time when we were in the same place. PLACEMENTS and the CORPORATE WORLD crossroads. Apprehension & Excitement were always two sides of the same coin. Besides several SOFTSKILLS imparted to get them ready such as GDs, interviews, Resume Writing, Business Etiquette, AI Readiness, STAR Method of Story Telling, and so on it was a joy motivating, guiding and encouraging them to go on and conquer with self belief! God is kind...

Our mind and body are so clearly connected and are we aware?
The everyday situations we face in life have an impact on us... and that results clearly in feelings and emotions. These are not just somewhere in our head and don't need to pushed away. Else our thinking- cognition and behavior-action could also be dysfunctional.
Integral Somatic Psychology (ISP), a beautiful form of therapy by Dr. Raja Selvam and co-conducted along with him by the wonderful experts and facilitators at Prafulta, Mumbai. ISP aid in helps embodying emotions resulting in clearer thinking and behaving patterns, making one more functional as an individual.
Privileged to have completed the 12 day intense course with theory, demos, practise, and additionally several hours of personal therapy, group studies and case consultations using ISP.
A wonderful tool to use with individuals and groups for somatic work...
Grateful and thrilled to have learnt and apply for self and for clients in training and coaching as well as psychotherapy work that I do😊 Gives quicker, safer and amazing results....

Learning can also be fun! As a child, my memories of school and overall education and the learning process was quite authoritative and largely punitive.
Is that good soil for learning?
Whether at educational institutions or workplaces let's make it a more healthier process.

I believe in fun with learning because that's how it should be right? That's what my attempt as a trainer and coach is. Am grateful for yet another opportunity to train and learn and have fun. Happy faces and knowledge imparted...

2025 ended with an online soft skills training, for 120 undergraduate students of a leading college on Time Management- one of my favorite topics (What a wonderful way to set the tone for the New Year) . And, If you're wondering what the "green frog" is all about- It's Brian Tracey's powerful tool for Time Management- Eat that frog! -do the most important and most difficult task first and get it out of the way...

Our Mind and Body are not disconnected. After all, even literally, the head is attached to the body!!!
I couldn't be more grateful at having completed the somatic/body work therapy module in a 4 day workshop at Prafulta, Munbai on Integral Somatic Psychology ( ISP). How our emotions can be processed so much better, tying back to cognition or thinking and behaviour that's more clear and healthy as a result of the same. This happens when we work with the body and access, become aware and expand the emotions we feel in our body, instead of suppressing or using other defense mechanisms to get away from them because that's what we have been conditioned to do. Learnt so much over the 4 day workshop at Prafulta on Integral Somatic Psychology ( ISP) Module 2. Completed the first two modules and so looking forward to the third one. Grateful for the teachers, facilitators and all my colleagues.

And yes, all this aids my journey of awareness in becoming an autonomous person who is aware and a more effective mental health therapist and coach.
Gratitude.... gratitude...gratitude 🙏

LET'S THINK: During any training or coaching a question I always pose to myself and attendees : " Is this only about TIME MANAGEMENT and therefore the several tools available OR is it also about MANAGING ME?"

There are several tools of Time Management that we can learn right ? Eat that Frog, Time Blocking, Pomodoro Techniques and so on. But why is it sometimes that despite the awareness and intention we still cannot bring about change !
Therein comes working on the Personality - Thinking, Feeling and Behaving Patterns and tools for change in this direction..... i.e. MANAGING ME!

As a certified Psychotherapist and Soft Skills Trainer grateful to bring both aspects into perspective.
Happy to have done yet another session on both aspects at a leading Manufacturing Organisation...

Gratitude 🙏

BE KIND TO YOURSELF!

One of the biggest learnings I have had in my journey in the wellness space to becoming a certified professional in the mental health sphere as a soft skills trainer, psychotherapist and a Master's in Clinical Psychology is the fact that "people need to be kinder to themselves!"

Compassion, self care, self appreciation, positive self talk and loving oneself unconditionally is key to being in a sound space for progress of any sort . Why just the clients I have worked with where this is so evident, I have for the longest time been hard on myself. How silly of me ? ...Why couldn't I? ... I am not good at # # ....How could I make this mistake ...self critical and how ?
Not only does this have a negative impact on our thinking, feeling and behaving patterns but also has somatic influences on the body contributing to aches and pains and rejection of self at cellular level too. Research has proved the same.

IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE !!!. If we don't love and value ourselves enough then what is the whole point?

So can we begin today with just saying and receiving and living out :

I am precious!
I am capable!
I am beautiful
I am worthy !
I am kind !
I am successful !
I am wonderful !

Give yourself these validations and receive it as a child would receive a gift ... Wholeheartedly. I have begun will you?

GUARD YOUR MENTAL HEALTH
These are some deep pits one needs to avoid falling into because it will constantly pull you deeper:
1)Insecure people stuck in roots of jealousy. There is nothing you can do about their insecurity and it's a hole deep hole.
2)Persons who don't want to make a choice to help themselves out of situations they are stuck in
3)Persons who are arrogant and refuse to humble themselves for anything.
4) Those who believe they are always right.
5) People who think of themselves only and don't have respect or empathy for others.
6) Manipulative people who discount your worth and emotions.
7) People who are pretentious and have a victim mentality.
8) Persons who always want attention to themselves.

PRAY for them and also make an attempt if needed, to reason/ engage a few times, being careful to guard yourself. But learn when it's time to withdraw because unless they have a conviction and put in an effort to change, you will be sucked into the deep hole of never ending drama... Sometimes there are blind spots we may have too... So, of course keep working on being the best version of yourself!!!

As a Soft Skills Trainer, Success Coach & Psychotherapist, it is such a privilege and joy to help people become a better version of themselves. Not to forget the learnings along the way and adding skills to equip myself better. And, successfully completing the in-person Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) course at In Vivo - Centre for REBT, preferred partners of Albert Ellis Institute (NY) the person who originated this therapy, has been such a fulfilling experience.
I am grateful & committed to serving!
