It’s not Heena’s last day just yet, but she still used the opportunity today to say goodbye to her colleagues at IGCC Mumbai.

Here’s a (very selective) list of things she learned after four and a half years of representing GTAI in Mumbai:

- The office loves a good biryani (duh);
- Hindi’s not easy;
- and it takes time to copy Mr Steinrücke’s way of presenting (she still hasn’t mastered it, she said).

Heena will go to Dubai next and promised to stay in touch. IGCC wishes her best of luck with her new role!

Can India become a $5 trillion economy? 24/06/2019

India aims to attain a GDP of $5 trillion in 2024. While this goal is unlikely to be achieved, India will nonetheless continue to grow – between 5% and 8% per year – in the next five years. By 2029, in consequence, a relatively large middle class will have emerged; but only in the southern peninsula, Delhi, and the coastal regions of Gujarat and Maharashtra. More rural areas, in contrast, will remain poor.

Welcome to Germany: The fastest growing nation in world cricket 21/06/2019

The cricket match between India and Pakistan on Sunday was followed by around 1 billion fans – the same number of people that watched Germany win the World Cup in 2014. In football-crazy Germany, cricket used to be a niche sport. But in the last five years alone, the number of cricket teams increased from 50 to 500. New players from India, Pakistan or Afghanistan are joining cricket teams every day, using the game to integrate and learn the German language.
