“Laugh Out Loud” is a 3-day immersive workshop designed for pre-teens and teens to explore the foundations of stand-up comedy through performance games, observation exercises, mimicry, exaggeration, comic storytelling, improvisation, character play, and collaborative comedy scenes.
The workshop includes:
• Observation-based comedy
• Exaggeration and act-outs
• Mimicry and character creation
• Improvisation and spontaneous speaking
• Joke structures and comic timing
• 2-person comedy exercises
• Story-building games and humorous storytelling
Beyond performance, the process develops confidence, social ease, expressive ability, listening skills, creative thinking, stage comfort, and verbal spontaneity.
Part theatre, part communication training, part creative exploration — this workshop is designed to help children discover humour not as memorised jokes, but as a way of thinking, observing, and expressing.
