Day 6 candid moments ! I ,Me and Myself !
Show and Tell
We gave freedom to our children to share their thoughts and they had weaved in so beautifully some experiences.

And
Screen time today ,Home Alone Part I
We learned on being brave and facing a situation with wit .

The primary learning outcomes for Home Alone (Part 1) weave together themes of independence, critical thinking, and the emotional value of family. Using the film as an educational tool helps students identify how external challenges can drive internal growth.

Core Learning Outcomes

Independence and Responsibility

Analyzing Kevin's transition from helplessness to self-sufficiency.

Evaluating the consequences of actions, like wishing family away.

Creative Problem-Solving

Identifying how Kevin uses everyday household items for defense.

Understanding "Know Your Environment" as a strategic planning skill.

Social-Emotional Growth

Exploring themes of empathy through Kevin's relationship

Discussing the difference between freedom and loneliness.

Literacy & Language Arts

Vocabulary Building: Matching film terms like "burglary," "on purpose," and "out of sorts" to their meanings.

Narrative Structure: Analyzing the "Set Up / Pay Off" technique used in the film's screenplay.

Art & Physical Skills

Fine Motor Skills: Creating "paper weavings" or patterns inspired by the film's holiday setting to build motor dexterity.

Critical Observation: Using movie scenes to practice classifying items or "hunting shapes" within a home environment.

Life Skills

Personal Safety: Using the film as a springboard for discussions on home safety and what to do in emergencies

In Judith Kerr’s The Tiger Who Came to Tea, children learn essential social and emotional skills through the lens of a surprising, high-stakes situation.

Core Life Skills

Hospitality & Manners: Sophie and her mother show how to be gracious hosts, even when a guest is difficult or overwhelming.

Adaptability: The family handles a major disruption (the tiger eating all their food) without panic or anger.

Problem Solving: When the food runs out, Dad finds a proactive solution (going to a cafe) rather than focusing on the mess.

Emotional Regulation: The story teaches kids to remain calm and kind when things don't go according to plan.

Generosity: Sharing what you have, even if it means giving up your own tea or bathwater.

Learning Outcomes

Social Expectations: Understanding the "scripts" of tea time, greetings, and saying goodbye.

Consequence & Sequence: Recognizing the "cause and effect" of the tiger’s hunger leading to an empty kitchen.

Predicting Outcomes: Encouraging children to guess what might happen next when a resource (like the water in the tap) runs out.

Safety vs. Fantasy: Discussing the difference between a "story tiger" and real-world safety rules.

Key Takeaway: The book normalizes flexibility. It shows that even if your "cupboard is bare," a family can still turn a disaster into a fun adventure.

Countdown begins to start Day 5 Ready Set Grow Summer Camp
Life skills we will explore and experience!

In the opening of The Tiger Who Came to Tea, a little girl named Sophie and her mother are having tea in their kitchen when an unexpected, large, furry, striped tiger rings their doorbell and politely asks to join them for tea, which Sophie's mother welcomes.

The story introduces a charming and surreal scenario where an ordinary tea time is interrupted by a ravenous yet polite visitor, setting the stage for a delightful adventure. Keep watching us !

Candid glimpses today
Day 4 The Word Weaver

Ready, set, grow Summer Camp 2026
Our latest Word Weaver session was a sensory explosion of language and flavor. We dived deep into vocabulary through the classic tale of the "Shalgam" (Turnip) in the national language Hindi , bringing the story to life with a high-energy game of tug-of-war!
But the learning didn't stop at the story. We rolled up our sleeves to explore the magic of the kitchen, getting hands-on with:

* Black Gram
* Onions & Tomatoes
* Salt & Pepper
* Cumin & Coriander

The children didn't just see these ingredients; they felt, smelled, and understood their unique properties while building their Hindi and English vocabulary. Learning is always better when it’s delicious!

DAY 2 THE BRAVECOMMUNICATOR
a wonderfully productive and engaging day for the children!

The Brave Communicator: A great tool for teaching children how to express feelings and boundaries.

Friendship Values: Focused on the core attributes that help children build lasting, healthy peer relationships.

Sev Puri Activity: A clever way to use food prep for team building.

Efficiency: Using Rams Sam’s songs to teach the "essence of finishing on time" makes time management feel like a game rather than a chore.

Shared Storytelling: Connecting the "Sharing the Shell" story with real-world objects like rocks and sea shells anchors their learning in tactile experiences.Values in relationships .

Visual Aids: Flashcards are excellent for bridging the gap between a story's theme and scientific exploration of the beach.
