Student Social Workers from MSW II are visiting Ugam Gramin Vikas Sanstha in Kalamnuri, Hingoli in Maharashtra for their Rural Camp. They will be staying in village homes and conducting PRAs to understand the process of Rural Development better.

A Workshop on Voter's Awareness was organised for the Students, in collaboration with the BMC Election Department. The students were addressed by Prof. Sashikala Wanjari, Vice Chancellor of SNDT WU and Mr. Ravindra Jadhav along with Mr. Jayant Naik from the BMC. They emphasised on the importance of electing our own Government representatives and voting as a right and duty.

The students were also involved in various activities post the lectures such as Slogan Making, Mock form filling etc. as they would be working in communities to register new voters and encourage registered voters to cast their votes.

We began 'Tuesday Seminars' today with a very educative talk on Vulnerable Children by Mr. Sunil Arora. Every Tuesday, the students of Masters in Social Work (I and II) and Masters in Non Formal Education (I and II) would be addressed by various social workers, activists, grassroots workers, social scientists and those working in the social/development sector to help them understand what true social work is!
