Anek Chidiya

Dusshera and Bhondala celebration along with traditional stories at Anek Chidiya!

Navratri is all about traditions and we pass them on to our children in our cherished festivals. The Goddess of knowledge is celebrated on the auspicious occasion of Dusshera by performing a puja of all our tools including books. Come over to Anek Chidiya as we pray to Goddess Saraswati to bestow us with the gift of a curious mind, forever willing to learn.
In addition, we will also have a Bhondala which is a custom all over Maharashtra. These customs have been celebrated for centuries with gusto and the children can enjoy them with us! The activities in Bhondala are truly great fun and meant for children so do make it a point to come on over!!

Library day for the little ones!

Indian mythology is replete with wonderful of the mighty deities and their exploits. And none are as loved as those of the elephant headed lord Ganesh! Every Indian will have heard these from their grandparents and parents. This session we paid tribute to the God of intellect and .
Mythological stories are a way to tell children about the values we cherish as a society, as well as preserve our in the next generation.

The story was concluded with some fun activity where the kids got to make their own mushak(mouse) Ganesh's vaahan(vehicle).

Big fun for Tiny tots!
It's storytime for our very little ones at Anek Chidiya this Thursday!
We want to initiate our toddlers into the world of books. And for this we have a lovely book called Hug by Jez Alborough. Also, we will introduce the idea of puppet shows with the all time favorite rhyme Old MacDonald and the cutest puppet books. So come along for a lovely evening of stories and rhymes.
Picture books and puppets are great tactile and visual aids to develop imagination. It engages kids into the act of storytelling and promotes creative thinking.
