Mumbai came alive through stories!

Grade 7 students explored the city in a whole new way during a special reading session with guest lecturer Alisha Sadikot. Building on their Mumbai Heritage Walk, students discovered how the city is not just a place - but a powerful character in literature.

Through excerpts from renowned writers, they reflected on Mumbai’s diversity, history, and ever-changing identity. From vivid imagery to layered narratives, the session encouraged students to think critically, imagine deeply, and connect stories to the world around them.

This engaging subject extension activity helped students see familiar spaces through fresh perspectives - proving that every street, building, and corner has a story to tell.

Exploring art, language, and culture!

As part of an interdisciplinary unit, our Grade 6 Spanish students explored Spanish culture through art inspired by the renowned surrealist artist Joan Miró.

Students created abstract artworks using simple shapes and vibrant colors, drawing from Miró’s distinctive style, while applying basic Spanish vocabulary to identify colors and shapes and express their opinions.

This engaging experience fostered creativity, strengthened language skills, and deepened students’ understanding of how abstract art can communicate ideas and emotions—encouraging meaningful cultural appreciation.
