ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED IN THE MONTH OF MARCH 2022.

Activites for the Month of March continued till April as it was the last activity month for the students and showcase their best skills. It was conducted by the class teachers from Mont to Std 9th on virtual platform and in school too.
Students from Nursery to 9th participated in Draw teddy bear as shown in pic stepwise, prepare a cap of 4 animals and click a selfie, prepare a 6 sided dice with different animals , draw fire engine truck , different situations demand different head safety gear, identify at least 10 to 20 famous Indian women of India, colour the picture of a boy playing in water, dress up as any character pirate ,old man ,soldier and say a few lines about yourself. These activities were given by their teachers as per the age group.
They all participated very enthusiastically.
Later the participants, sent the pictures of their activities so that the teachers could select the best three from each standard.
It was a commendable to watch the students participating as it was the last month in which students could sit together and enjoy together with their teachers.The parents appreciated the teachers for inculcating leadership qualities in their children through the given activities.

SUMMER CAMP AT ST.FRANCIS HIGH SCHOOL.
Students of St Francis High School are enjoying their Summer Camp enthusiastically. It's not that only sport camps directly improve health through exercise, but it also teaches kids to exercise and stay active. With childhood obesity at an all-time high, it's essential to give kids an alternative to stay inside and not spending long hours online or in front of the TV.

MY PERFORMANCE DAY CELEBRATION, St.Francis High School, Vasai, with the students of Mont 1 to grade 4 celebrated ‘My performance Day’ a virtual event with a lot of joy and enthusiasm on 5th March 2022.

In the midst of the pandemic where there are restrictions and reservations about celebrations, the long awaited virtual event was organised. The students participated with a lot of excitement and happiness. The celebration began by invoking the presence and blessings of God. The students shared their reflections on their experiences in the past year and appreciated the interesting online classes and the opportunities they had of taking part in various virtual competitions and activities.Students were given different colors as dress code for the day along with props like stars,graduation hat and many more. Students were indeed excited about the offline classes wherein they enjoyed the various subject related activities too. The parents gave testimonies of their experiences in the past year. They appreciated the efforts of the management, principal and teachers to impart education in an effective way during the pandemic. Their testimonies were heartening, motivating and encouraging.

The children on the day, sang regional songs in different languages, performed mesmerising dances,played various musical instruments, chanted Shloks and also spoke about their school. The teachers took the students down the memory lane of the past year as they shared the glimpses of 2021-2022 through a presentation and the participants reminisced the same.An award ceremony was conducted in which the students were felicitated with golden crown for the best students of the the week
throughout the year.Students were also felicitated with well done cards for their achievements in activities and competitions they have participated in the year. The celebration was concluded with the School Anthem and the National Anthem.

Activites for the Month of February was conducted by the class teachers from Mont to Std 9th on virtual platform and in school too.
Students from Nursery to 9th participated in activities like draw a boat and colour it, learn the parts of ship, to make a ppt of various battle ships of an Indian navy , draw a poster on the preservation of wetland , colour the eggplant according to picture, using purple finger print draw grapes, prepare windmill fans, create an advertisement poster for FM radio channel, prepare birthday card for Madam Grace Pinto using recycled objects etc. These activities were given by their teachers as per the age group. .
They all participated very enthusiastically.
Later the participants, sent the pictures of their activities so that the teachers could select the best three from each standard.
It was a commendable performance by the students for which the parents appreciated the teachers for inculcating cultural values in their children through the given activities.

Students of Pre-Primary celebrated Pink Day on 8.3.22.
To mark this day the teachers gave them some activities such as Draw and colour Lotus flower, Palm printing Flamingo and water Melon, paper collage, flower making with papers, using pieces of pink and green colors and also to prepare a pink flavored cup cake.
Children enjoyed the day and participated enthusiastically.

Every home, every heart, every feeling, every moment of happiness is incomplete without you, only you can complete this world. Happy Women's Day! to all the incredible women in the world, shine on, not just today but every single day.
Today to mark this day and make it more special for our lovely Mothers , different activities were conducted, such as cup cake making,flower making,etc. Special assembly was conducted, children sang and danced for their Mothers.Even all moms were dressed up in pink attire. Happy Women's Day to all and to a very Special personality who is truly a woman of Substance with a million dollar smile and a true inspiration to all the ladies.

'Science of today is the technology of tomorrow’

National Science day was celebrated by the students of St. Francis High School Vasai(w) on 28th February 2021 on Virtual platform. This day is celebrated to remember the great invention by the Indian Physicist Chandrashekhara Venkata Raman who discovered ‘Ramans Effect’.
Students of St. Francis High School participated in various activities .To mark this occasion students from std 6th and 8th conducted experiments with household items and explained the concept. They also prepared videos of the same.The day began with Introduction of our Scientist Dr. C.V. Raman followed by speeches. Students from other grades participated in collage making.The topic was 'Your favorite Scientist 'followed with essay writing and poster making.
Students also prepared magazine on the topics given to them.
Many of them spoke on their favorite Scientist and their discoveries.
It was indeed a very knowledgeable day in which the main motive was to spread a message about the importance of Science used in the daily life of the people.
National Science Day is observed every year on 28th of February to commemorate the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’. On this day, Physicist CV Raman announced the discovery of the 'Raman Effect' for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930.
The day is aimed at spreading the message of the importance of science and its application in human life.

Marathi Day Celebration
St.Francis High School

"मराठीआहेआमचीराजभाषा प्रत्येकमनीरूजवावीहीचअभभलाषा"
Marathi Bhasha Diwas, Marathi Din, or Marathi Diwas is celebrated annually to commemorate the birth anniversary of famous Marathi poet and writer Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar popularly referred to as Kusumagraj.
It holds a great significance for people who speak Marathi language.
To honour the rich history and literature associated with it, St.Francis High School Vasai celebrated Marathi Diwas on a virtual platform as well as physically in school on Friday,25th February 2022. Students from all the three sections celebrated the day in honor of the Marathi day . Students in the morning read out speeches, jokes, poems in Marathi before online classes began. They also participated in storytelling, poetry recitation ,drawing of Marathi Saints and poetry writing.
Students were very happy to celebrate Marathi Diwas on hybrid platform.

St. Francis High School, Vasai (W)celebrated the birthday of Respected Managing Director Madam Grace Pinto on 18.02.2022 with students of 1st to 9th std in school as well as on virtual platform .The school organized a special assembly to wish and pay a tribute to honorable Madam following all the rules and safety measures. The assembly commenced with her introduction followed with Bible reading, Lord’s Prayer and special prayer. Students from std 9th and 10th penned birthday messages on colorful papers.Cards and bouquets were prepared by the students of all grades. It was indeed a day of joy for the students who joined the school after a long pandemic break.They said that after along long time they could celebrate the day of happiness together in school.
We , the Franciscans,wish our respected Madam a wonderful birthday that's filled with love and joy.

HERE COMES THE NEW YEAR WITH NEW ACTIVITIES!!!
Activites for the Month of January was conducted by the class teachers from Mont to Std 9th on virtual platform well as physically in school.
Students from Nursery to 9th participated in cartoon making, yellow day, Essay writing on girl child, Quiz, Poster making and origin of kites.These activities were given by their teachers as per the age group. .
They all participated very enthusiastically.
Later the participants, sent the pictures of their activities so that the teachers could select the best three from each standard.
It was a commendable performance by the students for which the parents appreciated the teachers for inculcating cultural values in their children through the given activities.

St.Francis High School, Vasai celebrates 73rd Republic Day.
The Management,Headmistress,Supervisor,Teachers of St.Francis High School, Vasai extended their warmest greetings to all on Republic Day. The students of the School presented an assembly on virtual platform to mark the occasion with patriotic zeal and enthusiasm. In school the program began at 8:00am with flag hoisting,the teachers along with the Headmistress and other staff members sang flag song and National Anthem. Bible reading and School Anthem was also conducted by the teachers. Later as planned, a special assembly was conducted with students from Pre-Primary to std X on virtual platform .Through this assembly the students showcased their love and patriotic feelings for their Country.
Speeches,tree plantation,poem writing and essay writing were the activities conducted on the day.Many of them wore traditional costumes which made the assembly look very beautiful. It was indeed a very enjoyable day.
