Beyond Dimensions with Gyproc Design Challenge 2.0 (2025-26)

Congratulations to Shreyas Gharge (IESCOA) & Priyal Kadam (AOA) for securing FIRST POSITION
in the Gyproc Design Challenge.
The brief was to design interiors using the Gyproc Drywall System.

2nd International Arboriculture Conference “Vriksha Vardhan” was organised on 7th & 8th March at Sahara Star International in Mumbai. IES’s COA was “Knowledge Partner” for the conference.

We hosted a pre conference workshop on “ Management of Trees on Construction Sites” on 6th March at our Bandra Premises which was attended by 50 participants.
Faculty members and students from the institute attended the workshop & the conference that discussed about various aspects of trees in Urban areas. This was conducted by Jeremy Barrell.

Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Devendra Phadanvis, Cultural Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar & Acress, Activist Diya Mirza graced the conference with their presence.
The first Arborist of India Mr. Vaibhav Raje was instrumental in organising the conference.

Prof. Shilpa Chandawarkar & Prof. Shripad Bhalerao co-ordinated for this event on behalf of IES’s COA.

Students from IES’s College of Architecture made their mark at the International Design Competition (IDC), themed “Nodes, Networks and Negotiations.”

Our Semester 9 Allied Design students presented insightful studies of urban nodes in Mumbai and brought home two recognitions:

🌟 Special Commendation – Kanjurmarg Node Study
Vaibhav Darade, Jahnvi Choubey, Tapasya Mahante, Tanvi Suryavanshi, Siddhi Darakh

Their work reflects strong analytical thinking, urban understanding and collaborative design. Congratulations to the students and faculty mentors for this achievement! 👏 The work was published in the International Design Research Conference Proceedings Vol 12 Issue 1 (ISSN certified).
