On the occasion of World Rabies Day, Mumbai Veterinary College hosted a Rabies awareness and vaccination programme at its parel campus. The Chief Guest of this programme was Dr. Abhay Chaudhary, Professor and Head, Department of Microbiology, D. Y. Patil University, Navi Mumbai. The programme was overlooked by Dr. S. B. Majee and Dr. R. R. Pharande, Department of Microbiology, Mumbai Veterinary College. Along with this a free Rabies vaccination camp for animals visiting the Out Patient Department as well as for the student and staff of the college was held today after the programme.

A "Rabies awareness and anti- rabies vaccination camp" was held at the Goregaon campus of Mumbai Veterinary College today, by Virbac. Along with this they held the college level round of the quiz competition under the programme, "Virbac for Vets". The winners of the programme, Ms. Jasna Nambiar, first place, Mr. Vijender Negi, second place, and Mr. Akash Yamgar, third place, will be qualifying for the zonal level round of the quiz competition. @ Mumbai Veterinary College
