STREAM Fest for kindergarten students was a fun filled event with delightful activities designed to engage children in Science, Technology, Reading, Art, Music and Movement through hands on experience and playful learning. The event not only fostered curiosity and excitement about the learning but also encouraged collaboration and problem solving skills amongst our students. The joy, laughter and learning of our children made the STREAM Fest a memorable experience of early education.

The recent STREAM Fest at MBIS highlighted the talents of our Primary students in Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, Music and Movement.
Students conducted science experiments, showcased coding projects, and enhanced Literacy with interactive games. The engineering room featured working models created through Robotics and beautifully explained by our students. Artistic displays included nail polish bookmarks and origami, while the music room buzzed with students leading parents to dance and perform some exercises. Confident presentations impressed parents and teachers, depicting the huge success of the MBIS STREAM FEST, an event for the students, of the students, by the students!!!

On Friday 26th April 2024, students of Gr 4 did an activity on Singular and plural in Marathi
They had to write the singular or plural of the words given to them on the Art sheet.

NiaN Time - 'Newsin a Nutshell'
NiaN time is an innovative initiative aimed at enriching the educational experience of our students by expanding their horizons during a time they cherish the most – their library period. Through this initiative, our children not only indulge in their love for reading but also stay informed about the latest happenings and developments in the world. By integrating education and awareness seamlessly into their library time, we ensure that our students are not only well-educated but also well-informed individuals, ready to face the challenges of the modern world.

GRADE 4 SCIENCE
At MBIS, Science is explored in classes through Laboratory equipment provided by Jigyasu,an initiative to nurthure the 'explore and discover' way of learning.This helps in bringing raw science out of textbooks into real life experiences of students.

THE JIGYASU APPROACH:
The experiments are curated in a way to first ENGAGE the students [fun and magic trick like experiments], them make them OBSERVE [concept demonstrations], and finally allow them to EXPLORE on their own.

Students of Grade 4 had a laboratory session on the topic - Investigating friction on different surfaces. The set up of the investigation included an inclined wooden plane, from JIGYASU , sand, plastic sheet, carpet, silk cloth, toy cars, car with grooved wheels and smooth wheels and a drifter. Students investigated how friction of different surfaces had an effect on movement of the toy cars. Students learnt friction acts in the opposite direction of movement and it slows down or even stops movement. Students predicted and inferred through this investigation that smooth surfaces have less friction while rough surfaces have more friction. They had fun predicting what would happen in each stage and were elated to see what they predicted was correct most of the time. The session was fruitful as students learned by doing.

WE before ME

'We Before Me' activities play a pivotal role in fostering team spirit and collaboration within PE classes at MBIS. By prioritizing collective success and emphasizing essential skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership, these activities contribute to the holistic development of students.
As MBIS continues to prioritize student growth and well-being, integrating such activities into the PE curriculum remains instrumental in preparing students for future challenges and opportunities.

At MBIS, our Junior KG students are immersed in skill-based integrated learning. Through a blend of art and math activities, they master the number names while honing essential skills such as presentation, observation, identification, and communication.

Explore the Wonders of the Solar System @ the MBIS Jr. KG Inquiry Fair-Our students, Our collaborators,developing skills of exploration,presentation and communication.
The Junior KG students recently embarked on an exciting journey through space as they delved into the mysteries of the solar system. With curiosity as their guiding star, they embarked on a fascinating exploration of the planets, moons, and celestial bodies that make up our cosmic neighborhood.
Each student eagerly took on the role of a young astronomer, presenting their findings and discoveries with enthusiasm and wonder. From colorful posters adorned with dazzling images of distant planets to interactive models that brought the solar system to life, the inquiry fair was a testament to their creativity and ingenuity.
Visitors to the fair were treated to a stellar experience, as they navigated their way through a cosmic maze of information and insights. From the scorching heat of Mercury to the icy plains of Pluto, the students showcased their understanding of each celestial body with flair and imagination.
Through their presentations, the Junior KG students not only demonstrated their knowledge of the solar system but also sparked a sense of awe and wonder in all who attended. As they gazed up at the night sky, filled with stars and distant planets, they couldn't help but feel inspired by the vastness and beauty of the universe.
The inquiry fair served as a reminder that even the youngest of minds are capable of reaching for the stars and exploring the unknown. With boundless curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, the Junior KG students showed that the sky is not the limit—it's just the beginning of their journey through the cosmos.
