SUBJECT COMBINATIONS
* An Ideal IBDP student must select one subject from each group (ie 6 subjects).
* It means he/she needs to pick one from Language, II language, Humanities, Experimental Sciences, Math & Art.
* Group 6 is optional and may/may not be considered by all.
* So, in case a student does not want to opt for Group VI, can opt for an additional subject from Groups 1 to 5.
* For students who want to opt for the Humanities Stream, options would be something as shown below. (This is a general combination. Alterations and choices are available and may differ from person to person)
English
II Language
Economics
Business Mangement / History
E.S.S (Taken as Group IV)/Physics/Chemistry/Biology
Math
* For students who want to opt for the Science (Engg) stream, options would be something as shown below.
English
II Language
Physics
Chemistry
E.S.S (Taken as Group 3)
Math
* In special case where a student wants to take 3 sciences ie Physics, Chemistry & Biology, he would have to enroll for a Special Certificate -IBDP course.
eg:-
English
II Language
Physics
Chemistry
Biology
Math
(** Note that a special certificate is required in this case as the student does not opt any subject from Group 3)
* Thus E.S.S acts to be a good subject for both the combinations Humanities and Sciences, as it falls in both Group 3 & Group 4.
