The brilliant minds of MYP 2 have been hard at work crafting innovative prototypes in their design class!

From staff rooms to libraries, students were tasked with creating three prototypes: one online, one physical, and one in 3D model form.

Using an array of materials like cardboard, candy sticks, clay, and even LEGO, our students let their imaginations run wild!

But it wasn’t all smooth sailing! Students encountered challenges along the way, from material shortages to design roadblocks.

However, their problem-solving skills shone through as they found alternative materials to overcome obstacles, showcasing resilience and adaptability.

Language B students practise the skill of mind mapping to produce more detailed essays in French.

This exercise in connecting ideas ignites their *ATL skills of critical thinking and organisation, enabling them to craft essays with originality and organise their thoughts through a clear roadmap to follow.*

As they start engaging with the writing process, they can easily articulate their thoughts and this visual tool reduces the chances of them going off track or experiencing a block. This intentional flow of connected ideas is a result of their critical thought process in relation to the topic.

A Medical Officer from the MCGM Health Department provided grade 5 students with insights into the healthcare landscape, highlighting differences between government and private facilities, accessibility, affordability, and quality of care.

The session emphasized the importance of healthcare equity and empowering students as advocates.

This session helped students to strengthen their understanding of how the local body works toward the betterment of its people’s health.

To further strengthen students’ understanding about health care, students in grade 5 went to the NH SRCC Hospital to learn about medical services such as emergency room, pathology, blood donation, ambulance service, and dental hygiene.

They watched dental professionals, emergency services, blood donors, lab technicians, and ambulances arrive at work.

Our senior kindergarten students have been busy exploring the fascinating world of environments!

Through hands-on learning experiences, they’ve delved deep into ‘how people interact with, use, and value the environment in different ways’.

From adding solar panels to implementing recycle bins, they showcased sustainable actions that could help preserve our planet for generations to come.

Working collaboratively in groups, our students brainstormed ideas, cooperated to bring them to life, and adapted their plans when challenges arose. This hands-on approach not only nurtured their creativity but also instilled invaluable skills like teamwork and problem-solving.

At EIS, we believe in empowering our students through experiential learning, where every moment becomes an opportunity to explore, discover, and grow.

At EIS, service isn’t just a part of our curriculum; it’s ingrained in our ethos!

Our MYP students proudly unveiled their service initiatives for this academic year, spanning from environmental conservation to community outreach, all aimed at making a tangible impact!

A standout moment of the event was the Toybank donation drive orchestrated by our MYP4 students. To support Toybank, food stalls were set up at the showcase, with proceeds directly bolstering our students’ endeavours to enact positive change in the world.

MYP3 shone a spotlight on local Indian crafts and artists through their captivating showcase of Warli Art, while MYPA and MYP1B students shared accounts of their involvement in community outreach, recounting visits to a Parsi old age home and the WSD (Welfare of Stray Dogs) organization, respectively.

Finally, the towering trash monster crafted by MYP2 served as a poignant visual reminder of the pressing need to combat plastic pollution.

🔹Veda Shah’s ‘Save The Earth Club’ Stall at The Edubridge Fiesta!

A small PROVOCATION (during UOI) by her teachers at the age of 5, became her ACTION which started with creating awareness to reduce wastage and save planet earth to producing reusable items using old sarees, t-shirts and denim to make scrunchies, pouches, coasters, bookmarks, old school books to recycled paper diaries, non-toxic reusable material for room fresheners and toothpaste and many more sustainable products.

🔹Dehanna Mehta’s and Kiaansha Mehta’s ‘Journey to Joy’ Stall.
It was a stall of affirmations, positivity, and manifestations
Diza and Kvieta helped them set up the stalls. . They meticulously set up the stall, showcasing an array of meticulously handcrafted items including bookmarks, tote bags, candles, gift tags, and tumblers.
