As a part of their learning in SDG about plants and their role in our surroundings, our students visited Ratanshi Nursery to explore the wonderful world of nature. They observed plants of all shapes and colours, learning that they provide us with oxygen, food and beauty. They further comprehended basic plant care, including watering and nurturing techniques. It was an enriching experience that fostered a deep love for nature and a strong sense of responsibility towards our environment!

Exploring the Colours of Photosynthesis
Our budding scientists of grade 8 brought the classroom theory to life through a fascinating experiment on photosynthesis because Science here is not just studied, it's explored, tested, and discovered! By exposing plants to different light intensities red, blue, and white they are observing how each affects the rate of this vital life process. This hands-on investigation helped the students connect concepts with real-world applications, encouraging curiosity, observation, and critical thinking. The excitement in the lab was proof that learning is most powerful when it’s experienced.

Grade 7 students conducted an experiment to find that leaves contain more than just green pigment, even though chlorophyll is dominant. They used paper chromatography to separate hidden pigments in green leaf extracts. They were thrilled to observe the colours of photosynthesis come to life right before their eyes!

PHYSICS LEARNING IN GRADE 7
Diffusion is the net movement of molecules from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration. This process continues until the molecules are evenly distributed and equilibrium is reached. Our enquirers of grade 7 brought the classroom theory to life through a fascinating experiment where they observed how Diffusion occurs in different liquids and solids.

Our little artists blended cultural festivities with digital literacy today! Using MS Paint, they designed vibrant kites while sharpening their ICT skills. It was a delight to watch them master the Polygon and Curve tools for shapes, Fill with Colour for patterns, and the Brush tool for texture. A soaring display of digital creativity!

By building a city with blocks, students of Jr.Kg practiced stacking and counting, which helped reinforce number values, balance, and early mathematical concepts.

Pre-primary students brought Republic Day to life with a week full of fun, learning about national symbols, participating in games, and celebrating the pride of the nation. They showcased their creativity through art and craft activities and engaged in various hands-on engagements that deepened their understanding of our country’s rich heritage, making the celebrations both educational and joyful.

Our Jr KG students headed out on an exciting educational trip to the Bombay Sweet Shop as part of our " Senses" unit! They dove into a world of wonders sniffing sweet aromas, tasting yummy treats, touching colourful sweets, listening to the shop's cheerful buzz, and seeing vibrant displays up close! Not just that, on the way to and from school, they observed how their senses help in everyday life like spotting buses with their eyes, feeling the breeze, and hearing fun sounds around them. Indeed was a delightful way to activate all their senses and spark curiosity.

Celebrating joy, togetherness, and festive cheer!
Winter Carnival at SVS was alive with vibrant decorations, cheerful music, and a wonderful spread of fun-filled games. Smiles, laughter, and excitement filled the air as children played, explored, and shared joyful moments with their friends and teachers. Every corner reflected the magic of the season, creating memories that will be cherished for a long time. It was truly a heartwarming celebration of togetherness, happiness, and the true spirit of Christmas.
