The association is for the Fisheries Graduates in Maharashtra state.

The association is non-profit and is formed for the social benefits of the Fisheries Graduates of Maharashtra. In Maharashtra, there are total 3 fisheries colleges having more than a hundred students passing every year.

A short noticed meeting was held today for fixing up the plan of action. As a conclusion, few members will soon be heading for their first presentation at College of Fishery Science, Udgir.

Critical issues were discussed in the Third MFGA meeting on January 4, 2012.
Some of the highlighting issues were-
1. Formation and Registration of MFGA
2. Creation of MFGA website
3. Assignment of duties to respective candidates
4. Scheduling visits to Nagpur, Ratnagiri and Udgir Fisheries Colleges
5. Bundling of all the Gazettes from different states for recruitment of fisheries officers
6. Discussion on preparation of covering letters to different ministers
7. Collection of registered student's list from all the three colleges viz. Udgir, Nagpur and Ratnagiri
